Welcome to Atlanta by Linty Fresh

The start of a new month means just one thing – a brand spanking new tee from Linty Fresh! The May design from Linty Fresh is called Welcome to Atlanta and it’s an interesting one. It’s a nod to the hometown of Linty Fresh, Atlanta, Georgia, and it features some iconic Atlanta imagery. First off, the peach is central to this shirt and rightfully so as it is the state fruit and the first thing that many think of when Georgia comes to mind. And then you’ve got the The Big Chicken, a local landmark, if not an infamous one, that dates back to the 1960’s. Linty Fresh has pitted these two Georgia icons against each other and I am terribly afraid to see what the outcome would be, yikes!

And as always, Eric has put together a graphic that shows the design process for Welcome to Atlanta. Great stuff! You can pick up Welcome to Atlanta from Linty Fresh for $22.00.

I’ve also got something special for you Linty Fresh fans – it’s Linty’s own Eric Terry singing an original song that he wrote, Stick Around! Now isn’t he just an all around talented guy!

Use the coupon code “COTY” on your next LOWDTOWN Friends & Freaks purchase and save 10%. As always, enjoy with tea and a comfy tee!

Coty’s Thoughts:

Public Radio by Ray Masaki of LOWDTOWN Friends & Freaks and Nathaniel Milburn. Good: Love this design, great collaboration between Ray and Nathaniel, colors work wonderfully together and is a great tee to wear out to the park on a sunny day or one that you could just as easily wear fashionably around town. It’s tagless for itch free comfort and has a screenprinted label, The custom custom hangtag is impressive and the embroidered seam tag adds an extra touch of professionalism normally seen only on higher priced tees. Bad: Not much, this tee should put a smile on your face – if you’re having a bad day throw this shirt on and you’ll begin to feel positive vibes! Price: $21.99 but you can save 10% if you use the coupon code “COTY” at checkout.

Signature Silverware Tee by Pyknic Clothing. Great shirt, I’m not sure what kind of blank Pyknic Clothing uses but I really like the feel of this shirt, it’s very soft, just like the massive print. Really dig the design, love the subtle, classic and mature look of this Pyknic tee. Paired with nice vintage jeans, white dunks, along with a jacket (or blazer) over tis tee and you’re good to go for a night out in the town. Price: $24.98.

Trash Attacks by a.mar.illo

With all of the trash that we humans have accumulated during our time on this earth try and imagine what it would be like if the trash actually fought back. It would be crazy! The smell of the trash itself might be enough to do us in. The moral of the story – use biodegradable goods and reduce the amount of trash that you make.

Trash Attacks by Sven Palmowski aka a.mar.illo is available now for purchase from Uneetee for $19. It was the weekly design winner at Uneetee and amar.illo earned $1500 for the design. Think you’ve got the champs to win the next Uneetee design contest then check out the officials entry rules here.

Ape-ocalypse by Leon Ryan

Here’s the newest tee from Go Ape Shirts, it’s called Ape-ocalypse and it was designed by the same fellow who did the Go Ape logo, Leon Ryan. I really dig the throwback design and can actually see it being on a movie poster. Whose idea was it to make apes out to be such bad and destructive animals – I know at least one friend that would argue that snakes are 10x scarier!

The tee is printed on a brown American Apparel tee and is available in both mens and womens sizes for $18.00.

And Then I Woke Up (The Remix)

A few weeks back I posted about Jeff Sheldon from Ugmonk allowing fans to vote for the next colorway of the rather popular And Then I Woke Up tee. Well, Ugmonk fans have spoke and the blue and white colorway was victorious. Good choice, guys! You can pick up the new And Then I Woke Up tee from Ugmonk for $21.

In other news, according to the grapevine, Jeff Sheldon’s line was picked up by the popular retail store, Urban Outfitters, so expect to see Ugmonk in a store near you sometime soon!

A Better Tomorrow Meets Art Bastard Contest

I haven’t blogged much about A Better Tomorrow, mainly because I don’t understand German, but I did think this would be of interest to the designers that read this blog. The German T-Shirt design competition site is having a special A Better Tomorrow Meets Art Bastard shirt contest that runs until May 25. Winner will receive 500 € cash and 100 buttons of featuring their design. I was just checking out A Better Tomorrow and they have some amazing tees, I will definitely be visiting that site more often!

The theme for this special contest with Art Bastard is “We Love Art”, which, seems general enough for you folks to come up with something amazingly cool. For those of you unfamiliar with Art Bastard, they are a website that feature urban contemporary art and culture – a site that’s definitely worth checking out. See below for official rules to the contest.
