This is actual very cool. It’s called the NES Buckle and it is a belt buckle made from an actual classic NES controller! They cost 30 bucks for the buckle alone and $45 if you buy the NES buckle and leather belt combo. To celebrate the relaunch they had to find more controllers!) they are giving away a $10 discount code to the first 100 people to use the code so you better act fast if you want to take advantage of this deal! The code, fittingly, is “upupdowndown”.Â
but alas, this is a tee blog and any post minus a tee, will not cut it! So here you go, the perfect tee to go with this belt! ACTUALLY, the recently released Threadless tee, The Gaming Revolution by Sean Mort, would be a better fit but I’ve already featured it on the site!
The tee is called model no. NES-004Â and it’s coming to you from Huzzah Goods and it sells for $25.Â
This might be something that could be of interest to those of you that like to be surprised by awesome things in the mail. Airside Shop specializes in pop infused clothing and other artsy stuff, including calendars, stitches and prints and hey are currently promoting the 10th anniversary of the Airside T-Shirt Club, which they first started waaaaaaaay back in 1999.Â
As a T-Shirt Club member, you will receive 4 T-Shirts that will be sent to you throughout the summer, with the first being shipped out in May. And as mentioned earlier, you will not know what they designs are beforehand. But no need to worry, Airside has lined up some great artists, including some that participated in the original Airside T-Shirt Club, including “Fred Deakin, of Lemon Jellyand Cosmic Fury fame, the brilliant illustrator Michael Gillette on board, along with the fabulous Ian Stevenson and we’ll be getting one more look into the bizarre brain of Shoboshobo.”Â

Monday’s mean Threadless video time and a whole lot of winks! 6 new tees this week and each are awesome in their own way but how do they hold up in terms of the all powerful wink. All I can say is that this week Sean Mort takes the cake and is my Threadless Pick of the Week!  Also, be sure to check out and vote for my TypeTees slogan submissions -- I’m submitting one every day until I get printed! Come on Threadless, I need a Threadless shield that I can call my own!
If you’re a fan of the 80′s and you haven’t been to Found Item Clothing then you are definitely missing out. Found Item Clothing specializes in making authentic replications of fictional tees as seen in some of our favorite 80′s/90′s cult classics.
Their newest tee features the logo of the Omni Consumer Products Company (OCP). Uber geeks or film aficionados will be quick to notice that the OCP logo is straight from the 1987 film, Robocop. This is the perfect tee for you to use at those sci-fi conferences that you’ll no doubt be attending. The design is printed on a gray American Apparel tee and is available now for $21.95.
As of April 9, Chi Cheng of the Deftones, is currently in a coma following an automobile accident in Santa Clara, CA. on November 4, 2008. Deftones singer Chino Moreno stated on the Deftones’ blog: “It deeply saddens me to inform you all that our brother Chi Cheng was involved in a terrible car accident last night. He is currently in a Northern California Hospital in serious, but stable condition. I am on my way up North right now to be by his side along with the rest of our band mates and family. Chi is one of the strongest people I know, and I’m praying that his strength will get him through this. Please say a prayer for him as well.” (via Wikipedia)

Another week and another set of slogans for my epic TypeTees Slogan-A-Day Experiment. I am starting to feel some fatigue but I will not let it get to me. I will push on until Threadless Gods deems me worthy of a print – boing! To see all of my slogans and to vote for them check out my Threadless profile page. Vote for me and I will make bake you a cake if ever we meet in real life.
No real story behind this one, I think I had something I previously planned to submit but then at the last minute I thought of this one. Yes, that’s right.
Indeed I do make great animal sounds. Ask anyone in my family. I make very very very good animal sounds. I specialize mainly in house pets but can do some darn good farm animals.
This I got after I saw someone on Twitter (sorry I can’t remember who) say that their girlfriend said the most genius thing, that she loved the hypotenuse of her sandwich. I thought that was brilliant.
I’ve gone back to the spiky hair after a long year and half sporting the long hair look. And I love having short hair again, especially since I can easily poke people I don’t like with the razor sharp spiky hair.
No, I wasn’t watching Pirates of the Caribbean at the time this slogan was conceived. I believe I was reading an article on Yahoo and the word swashbuckler came up. Thought it sounded great. And for the record, I don’t reaaaaallly want to be a swashbuckler when I grow up.Â
Oh, this one was inspired by a professor of mine while were discussing the infinite properties of language. And one point during the talk he had said that same thing (probably with more r’s) and then explained how he could have been the very first person to have said that, ever. And for the record, I like mint chocolate chip ice cream and cherry Garcia the most and maybe pralines and cream.Â
No, I’m not schizo. I just realizes that I need a new pair of Bose headphones because mine are becoming very worn out and is leaving awkward black scum on my ear lobes. At least that’s what the noises inside my head told me.
410BC just unveiled their newest line of tees and I think this bunch is a great collection and probably the most cohesive collection they’ve put out to date. With the exception of corporate vultures (the one with the big head) and cerberus (the one with the rats), the tees in the new line work really well together and actually compliment each other quite well. They’ve got a certain greek methology theme going they really focused on for this line and I think it goes hand in hand with their brand name.Â
The new tees are available now and can be had for $25 but remember you can save 20% off your next 410BC order by using the coupon code “coty” at checkout.
Very cool interview by the guys over at LAist.com with Threadless Chief Creative Officer Jeffrey Kalmikoff. Those lucky LAists got to chat it up with Jeffrey at the Web 2.0 Conference in San Francisco last week. Jeffrey talks a good deal about how Threadless was able to build it’s company by developing a strong community.
I love Twitter, I can jump on at any time and almost always find someone that just released a new tee. Sometimes  I stumble accross good stuff and others time, well not so great stuff. Luckily for me, I found these egg inspired shirts that were just released by on.us.tees. Now based on the name of the brand, I would think that they were giving away tees for free! Isn’t it on.us, errr, on them? In any case, check out these two tees from the on.us.tees spring egg line – they are super cute. How are rapping eggs not cute! I kinda want one!
Both of these are available now from on.us.tees for $24. OK, I am off to go eat some scrambled eggs now!
Sassatattoo came out on top of this weeks ShirtFight design challenge with his Rats Live On No Evil Star design! The theme was hidden subliminal messages and as you can see from the winning design, there are some mysterious changes occur once the glow in the dark ink kicks in! You can pick up this tee for just $15 right now!Â
And of course with every new winner announced come a new ShirtFight challenge and this weeks new theme is … dun dun dun … Miss Etti’s Birthday! Yup, another birthday but hey, she’s got her own set of stuff on her wishlist! Good luck to all that enter and may the best ShirtFighter win!
