Ultimate T-Shirt Sketchbook by Burak Kaynak

This is just too cool to not mention. These little T-Shirt shaped sketchbooks by Burak Kaynak might look a little gimicky but I think they are pretty awesome – especially if you are a T-Shirt designer.

As Burak says on his website, we all come up with great T-Shirt designs (or so we think) and for those genius moments this is the perfect little sketchbook! They will definitely help you to visualize your concept before you actually get to work on it on the trusty computer. I actually am not sure if this is for sale as I can’t find a buy link anywhere but you can check it out on Burak’s portfolio site or on his Behance page!

Co-Tee TV Episode 14: Chop Shop, Phanica and Hope Floats

In this episode I wear Nerdbot 1.0 by Chop Shop and review Hope from Phanica, a new tee brand based out of Wisconsin, inspired by a book on business and life, and started by Phil Keys during his early days in college. I’ve got coupon codes that you can use at both of the featured online shops so be sure to take advantage of those to save yourself some cash. As always, enjoy with tea and a comfy tee!

You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.

Coty’s Thoughts:

Hope by Phanica. Good: Printed on American Apparel so if you have experience with American Apparel you’ll know what size fits best for you, very comfortable, huge print, gradient on design looks great, tagless screenprinted label on neck for itch free comfort, fancy hangtag adds a professional touch, and lots of extra goodies included with tee for double the fun-ness! Bad: No problems with the shirt, I just wished that the rest of the Phanica line was more in the style of this tee, hopefully future tees will continue in this direction or maybe we will see more collaboration tees with Phil and his father. Price: $19.99 but you can save 15% if you use the coupon code “COTY” at checkout.

Hope by Phanica

Nerdbot 1.0 by Chop Shop. Design will appeal to any Trek fan and did I mention it’s dirt cheap! Plus it comes with a temporary tattoo, you can’t beat that! Printed on a Hanes Beefy T and has a custom Chop Shop neck tag. This shirt is a steal! Price: $6.00 but you can save 15% if you use the coupon code “cotygun” at checkout.

Designer Tees by Emil Kozak

I recently stumbled upon an amazing designer from Barcelona, Spain. His name is Emil Kozak and he has a wonderful collection of clothing, accessories and screen printed posters for sale on his online portfolio site and shop. And let’s not forget, he has some amazing tees! If you check out his shop, be sure to stop by view his portfolio, he has done some amazing work for Kelly Slater, Nike and Element just to name a few.

The tees do come with a hefty price tag of 35.00 € ($46 US), but, just from the product views I can say that I honestly want one (or a few)! That simple, yet effective, signature cloud tee had me at hello. Enil Kozak is definitely a designer that I will be keeping my eye on. What’s even better is that all orders from now until May 1st will come with a free Emil Kozak typeface called Circulitos.

TeeFury’s Zombama Fresh Off The Presses

Design By Human’s own Jimiyo shot this top secret video of some fresh Zombama tees being made. Love the music and am so happy that Jimiyo didn’t throw in any cats at any point in the video, a trademark of sorts for him. I’m a dog loving kind of guy! I should also mention that the music went amazingly well with this video for some reason.

Quicksilver/DBH Design A Difference Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Design By Humans/Quicksilver Design A Difference contest. The 1st place winner was mathiasrapp with his Finger Food entry! SteveOramA took 2nd place with Mountain Attack and csj89 finshed 3rd with Carl and the Lizard. These are all pretty unconventional Quicksilver designs, being that I own a ton of Quicksilver tees, I can honestly say that SteveOramA’s is the one that closest resembles a Quicksilver tee. But nonetheless, all three are interesting designs and a nice way to change up the current offering from Quicksilver! Great job guys!

Farewell To Arms by Cloxboy

This is an interesting Star Wars inspired tee by Cloxboy titled Farewell To Arms. It’s obviously poking fun at the uncanny number of limbs lost throughout the 6 Star Wars films. Now here’s a stat for you, in the Star Wars films, 9 hands get chopped off. Let’s see, Anakin loses both hands, and so does Count Dooku. And Darth Vader, Grievous, The Wampa of Hoth, Mace Windu and Luke Skywalker each lost a hand while Ponda Baba had his hand cut off by Obi-Wan.

Farewell To Arms is printed on a silver American Apparel tee and is available now for purchase for 17 buckaroos. Go pick one up now to wear at your next Star Wars movie night.
