I Believe In The Loch Ness Monster

I seriously flipped out when I spotted this shirt over at the French tee blog, Grafitee. Simple typography plus a mention of The Loch Ness Monster got me excited. I Believe In The Loch Ness Monster is a product of Excessisok (Eio) Clothing, a cult streetwear brand inspired by music and art. The shirt itself is made from premium quality ultra soft esmeril cotton and features raw edged sleeves. The shirts are produced in Portugal and hand printed in the U.K. It’s available for purchase from £ 24.95 ($40 US).

This shirt is a reproduction of a shirt given to a famous loch ness monster researcher by his daughter. There’s a photo of him and his wife wearing it, taken sometime in the 60’s I believe. unfortunately, there’s no mention of it and I can’t remember the name of the researcher off the top of my head. I want to say Rine, but I can’t remember.

And forty bucks for an american apparel shirt with text on it? Make your own for 10 bucks. Jesus.

Hey WhoForted (BTW, love the name), thanks for the background info on this T-Shirt. But now you’ve got me itching to see the original. A quick Google search left me empty handed, I’ll have to dig deeper. If you happen to find the photo of Rine then please post a link or shoot me an email – I’d love to see it!

PS: And in all fairness, it’s not an American Apparel T-Shirt. The shirt is made from premium quality ultra soft esmeril cotton in Portugal and then hand printed in the U.K. And BTW, this is probably one of the softest and most comfy shirts ever. I know, because they sent me one ;)

PPS: But I agree, $40 for a T-Shirt hinges on insane (for the most part).
