Flash Back by ProperDirtz is my Friday DBH pick! Love this shirt, especially the colors. By the way, this is the second tee this week from Design By Humans with a deer as the focal point. Is it deer week somewhere and I just don’t know about it! Flash Back is available now at Design By Humans for $25.Â

In this episode I wear and review Holy Hand Greanade from Vig Tees and review a tee called Manana that was designed by WhatTheFuck for A Better Tomorrow. A Better Tomorrow is my favorite German site and the biggest German T-Shirt contest site. They feature a wide selection of user submitted tees that are fun, wacky, creative and inventive.
This week I continue my summer long series on Ongoing T-Shirt Contest Sites. Every week, I will be reviewing a different tee from one of many different online contest sites. I’ll be discussing how each of these sites differ, how the submission and selection process work and what your rights are as a designer. Last week I covered ShirtFight, so if you missed it be sure to check that one out!
You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.
Manana by WhatTheFuck and available at A Better Tomorrow. Good: Printed on an American Apparel tee so it fits well, cut and sew elements including a tag sewn on the lower left portion of the tee with the A Better Tomorrow logo (really love that), package included a set of large and small decals. The print was not the softest I’ve felt but it was certainly not the heaviest, it was a little in the middle (I’m sure it’ll gets much softer after the first wash). Bad: I think if they went tagless this shirt would be perfect. Price: 18,00 € ($25 US).
Holy Hand Grenade by Vig Tees. Good: Printed on an army American Apparel tee, love the design, packaged with Vig Tees stickers. The print on this tee is super soft. Bad: I know I sound like a broken record, but, again, I wish it was tagless. Having said that, I highly recommend this tee based on design alone – it instantly became one of my favorites! Price: $18.00.
If you want to send me a product to review, please feel free to do so. You can find my information in the contact menu above. Thanks!

This tee, available at SocialDesigner.com, was the winner of the ”design a tee to be used in case of an emergency” competition. This winning tee was designed by the artist known as Gemma, who had this to say about her creation:
“SOS is the most common signal when there is an emergency in order to ask for help. I thought the t-shirt should have this purpose because it can be useful no matter what kind of emergency is happening. We know we’ll be carrying this tee with us at all times in case of a flat tire, fashion emergency, or just in case we need to flag down a taxi in NYC.”
This tee is available for $25 and is printed on an Ash Grey American Apparel tee. 20% of the profits from sales of this tee will go to benefit Architecture for Humanity.Â

When I first saw Cannibal while perusing my RSS Reader, I literally laughed-out-loud. The newest tee from Glennz Tees surely delivers when it comes to invoking laugher. This tee is kind of like those weird Santa Clause slasher movies, mixing two extremely different holidays into one incredible mashup. Cannibal is printed on an asphalt American Apparel tee and is available for purchase now from Glennz Tees for just $19.95.

Jeff Sheldon of Ugmonk fame recently released two new tees, Clearly Ambiguous and Path To Nowhere. Path To Nowhere is a welcomed re-release of an old tee in a new colorway. I actually like the blue and white colorway over the original red and white version.
Clearly Ambiguous is a neat 3 color print with a conglomeration of leaf-like shapes strategically placed to form a larger shape. If I could name this shirt I would definitely have named it Gestalt, since it reminds of the principles behind Gestalt Psychology – a theory of mind and brain that “describes the form-forming capability of our senses (the word Gestalt in German literally means “shape” or “figure”), particularly with respect to the visual recognition of figures and whole forms instead of just a collection of simple lines and curves.”
Both shirts are available from Ugmonk for $21 but remember to use the coupon code “COTY09″ to save 10% off of your entire order!

I am huge fan of Bob Marley and so when I spotted this tee over at Loiter Ink I knew that I just had to mention it on the blog. It’s simple yet brilliant. You can pick up this tee from Loiter Ink for $17.Â
And speaking of Bob, my favorite song of his has to be Redemption Song off of his ninth studio album, Uprising. What’s yours? Haven’t heard Redemption Song, check out the mp3 below.

“From the intricate and symbolic effects of Light Grenades and ACLOTM album covers to the simple beauty of the coastline on Morning Views, the music of Incubus is expressed through a range of visual styles.
Brandon Boyd’s design for the Monuments and Melodies album cover is the latest Incubus creation that underscores their potent connection to art.
DBH caught up with Incubus in L.A. a couple weeks ago and introduced them to the DesignByHumans community. The band loved what they saw and are eager to add some hÜman touch to their world by participating in our next sponsored contest.”
So, here’s what’s on the line:

Life Is What You Make of It by Attila is the latest tee from German contest site, A Better Tomorrow. I really like the detail of this particular shirt and love the color scheme. I admit that I am a sucker for pink accents on black tees. If done right, it just looks good, and I think this tee uses the perfect amount of pink on black. The colorway sort of reminds me of Linty Fresh’s Mack Hated Mondays, which is one of my favorite indie tees. You can pick up Life Is What You Make of It for 26,00 €  ($35 US) today!

Robots in Disguise from Slapt Sticker Subculture is just too cool for words. It’s the perfect tee to wear to the premier of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. You’ll surely get a bunch of looks and comments.Â
The tee itself features Direct-to-Garment printing on a silver Alstyle brand tee. These shirts are not mass produced and done individually. Pick one up today for $15.
