Music Mountain by Lyndsey Lesh

Former Beautiful/Decay intern, Lyndsey Lesh created this stunning design, titled Music Mountain. It’s actually the June T-Shirt of the Month over at the Beautiful/Decay online shop. I’m definitely digging this design and I absolutely love the colorway. Pick up this shirt if you’re  fan of music and wonderful art! Now, if only I knew how to spin records.

As with all Beautiful/Decay Shirt of the Months, this tees will be offered as a unique colorway and will be limited to a run of 300 shirts. The tee is available now for just 20 bucks, which is 33% off the retail price. Essentially, you’re getting a limited run Beautiful/Decay tee before it’s available anywhere else! And even when it is available at retail outlets, this colorway will be no more! So buy it if you like it, now.

Who Has The Coconut?

The community over at German T-Shirt contest site A Better Tomorrow have been pumping out some seriously cute tees the last couple of weeks. The newest tee is no exception. It’s called Wer hat die Kokosnuss (Who Has The Coconut) and was designed by Nikor. It’s an all around silly T-Shirt featuring what looks to be a chimp making funny faces. This is the perfect tee for anyone who likes to monkey around!

As with all A Better Tomorrow tees, Who Has The Coconut is printed on an American Apparel blank and is available now for 18,00 €.

8 T-Shirt Tips To Differentiate Yourself From The Crowd

Here’s a great article by Jonathan Kong of Singapore fashion site, Fabrikade. Jonathan discusses how to differentiate yourself from the crowd when wearing T-Shirts.

“T-shirts have become a medium for self-expression and advertising for all age group but the youths primarily, sees it as being the fashion. In the face of such overwhelming popularity, how can you differentiate yourself?”

Head on over to Fabrikade to read the full article! And by the way, I stumbled upon this article because I follow Fabrikade on Twitter, I suggest you do the same!

I Like Naps by Thrush

Naps should be a standard at work, just like lunch. I love taking naps and as such I love this shirt! I Like Naps is actually a one-of-a-kind tee that was created by Denver based Etsy designer, Thrush. According to the product page, this shirt is “a tribute to the t’s of the 80′s, this shirt says “I Like Naps” in the famous t-shirt font. It’s printed on an upcycled, preowned t-shirt.” I’m not sure how many of these tees Thrush created, but unfortunately for you, they are sold out.

Want to make your own? Pick up some Iron On Transfers of this retro font here and proceed to create.

The Power Mitt by Johnny Cupcakes

Johnny Cupcakes continues to pump out new products for the summer. Here are a couple of his latest, including his latest tee, Power Mitts! How many of you remember Nintendo’s Power Glove from the late 80′s? If you do then Power Mitt from Johnny Cupcakes is the tee for you! The shirt sells for $35.99 and is available now for purchase. Check out the video below for an old school Power Glove commercial.

Mr. Cupcakes also released a pair of crossbones printed shorts ($64.99) and rolling pin board shorts ($59.99). I dig the casual crossbones shorts but am not sure if I would trust those board shorts. I have had bad experiences with boardshorts not coming from a brand that specializes in water sports. Quiksilver is my brand of choice when it comes to board shorts because of their durability and selection of wacky and fun designs.

And just so you know, it’s Week 11 and I still have not gotten a print! It’s ok, I still love you, Threadless! To see all of my slogans and to vote for them check out my Threadless profile page. Vote for me and I will make you an awesome avocado burger if ever we meet in real life.

Week 11:

Instead of shouting I prefer to write in CAPS.

Except of course when I am driving. When I drive I yell a lot! Passengers wonder why I yell, especially since the driver that I am yelling at can’t hear me.

You provide the cheese and I’ll provide the grill.

With all of my grilled cheese references you guys should know by now how much I love this American delicacy!

Toilet paper inspires me to be clean.

Doesn’t it inspire you?

I never know when to use apostrophy’s.

I actually do, but I thought this would be a witty entry.

When will mechanical pencils write for themselves?

I love using mechanical pencils! Because no matter what, the tip always stays sharp. No sharpening required. Unless of course you run out of lead. Then you need a back up plan!

The key to life is locked in a safe.

What is the key to life for you? I’m interested to know.

Psssst, wanna know a secret?

I wonder how many people would actually want to know “a secret” if I wore this shirt in public.

laFraise vs. Bacardi Contest

The popular French T-Shirt contest site, laFraise, is holding a special contest with  one of the most popular producers of rum, Bacardi. I have to admit that I have had my share of Bacardi 151 shots so I am definitely no stranger to this Bermuda based spirits company.

Your mission for the contest is to create 2 typical characters representing the personality of BACARDI LIMÒN and BACARDI RAZZ, two of their popular flavored rums.

Bacardi will host an exhibition in Hamburg, Germany on July 11 featuring 10 to 15 design entries. A winning design will be chosen for both the BACARDI LIMÒN and BACARDI RAZZ characters. Each winner will receive 3000 € for his design. Please see below for the official rules.
