It’s been just about a year since I last purchased a tee from Shirt.Woot, but something told me that I just needed to pick this tee up. First of all, I’m a fan of Olly Moss stuff in general so that’s one reason. Secondly, this is just a friggin’ hilarious tee! Robocop fans rejoice and pick up Robocopper from Shirt.Woot for just 10 bucks (24 hours only) and free shipping! Now, if only I could here that Robocopper speak with an English accent. That would make my day!
Why do I not own a Funkrush tee yet? I need to get my hands on one of their products because they’ve got a style that I really dig. I do own a print of theirs, if that’s any consolation. This is yet another example of a wonderful Funkrush tee. It’s called Arab Limo and it’s a small departure from the rest of their line but its a fun shirt nonetheless. You can purchase Arab Limo by Maki from Funkrush for £20.00 and save an additional 15% off with the coupon code “COTY” at checkout.
I think that Shirts Taste Good has a great thing going with the viral video inspired tees. This particular shirt is named Don’t Taste Me Bro! after the video of a University of Florida student being tased at at John Kerry forum went viral via YouTube. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next! You can purchase this tee at Shirts Taste Good for $17.95.
I’d like to introduce Tilteed, the newest player in the T-Shirt contest site genre! The site just launched yesterday and as you might guess, it’s a community driven, ongoing t-shirt design competition.Â
They’ll be offering some amazing prizes for their initial launch giveaway, including $3500 to $5000 for a grand prize, and $1500 for a runner up. The regular prize money is set at $500 and $1 residuals for each T-Shirt sold per design. Not too shabby!
Their pre-launch tee is from contest site regular and Coty favorite, Dale Edwin Murray. The shirt is called Bombs Away and I couldn’t think of a better shirt (or artist) to kick things off at Tilteed! You can pick up Bombs Away from Tilteed for just $12! Plus, use the code “TiltCoty” for an additional $2 off your order! $10 for a Dale Edwin Murray designed tee on an American Apparel shirt – sounds like a steal to me!
Did Someone Say Contest?
Oh yeah, that was me! All you need to do is 1) register at Tilteed, 2) take a picture of yourself with a sign that says “I ♥ Tilteed and Co-Tee TV” and be as creative as possible with your sign, 3) post a link to your Tilteed profile page and your picture on either the Co-Tee TV Facebook Fan Page Wall or link to your picture in the comments section of this blog post! If you do all 3 steps then you could win the following prize package from Tilteed:

One (1) Bombs Away! tee by Dale Edwin Murray
Two (2) of the winning launch shirts (these will be two different designs). Â
The contest ends on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 11:59 PM Hawaii time. I will choose the most creative, funniest, and inventive entry to win the Tilteed prize package.Â
Kosher Ham has been on a roll the last few weeks releasing oodles of news tees, all kosher of course (we wouldn’t want them any other way). Check out four of my favorites from the recent releases. All shirts, except for Am I Missing A Tooth ($15.99) is $19.99 they’re all printed on American Apparel blanks. And remember, Kosher Ham always has the buy 3 get a 4th tee promotion – so pick up any 3 Kosher Ham tees and receive a free Kosher Ham logo tee!Â
Am I Missing A Tooth is my favorite from the bunch! It’s from the newest comedic classic, The Hangover. If you haven’t seen that flick, do yourself a favor and check it out! You’ll laugh. You’ll laugh hard. And then you’ll hurt from all the laughter.Â
Vince Shlomi has got nothing on Billy Mays. Billy Mays is a TV infomercial GOD. Pick up this shirt from Kosher Ham and profess your love for all things Billy Mays.Â
Oh you know you used to watch Saved By The Bell. Don’t try to hide it! I admit I used to watch Saved By The Bell religiously! I was a preteen, afterall, at the peak of the shows popularity. And I think I’m a better man for it! Zack Morris for president.Â
Let’s just say that Michelle Obama didn’t really have any big shoes to fill. Our first lady has style, class and spunk. Be envious!Â
And I just had to include this clip of “Zack Morris” on the Jimmy Fallon Show. It’s really him. I’m waiting anxiously for the Saved By The Bell reunion on Fallon! Does Mark-Paul Gosselaar not age?
Last weeks crop of Threadless tees was pretty spectacular. Freakanaut was an amazing shirt. This weeks releases were a little “meh” for me. But hey, this is Coty Loves Threadless and I still love Threadless! Sam Schuna’s Witching Hour had the pimp spot this week on the Threadless site and for good reason! In fact, it deserves to be pimped so much that it’s my Threadless Pick of the Week! And how about the rest, you’ll have to watch! If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out and vote for my TypeTees slogan submissions -- I’m submitting one every day until I get printed! Every vote counts so vote for a slogan and help me get printed.
I love ice cream! My favorite? Probably either Rocky Road or Jamoca Almond Fudge from Baskin-Robins. This shirt from Boston based Brivia Sky is the perfect shirt for the ice cream fan! The colors kind of remind me of Rainbow Sherbet. You can pick up this tee from Brivia Sky for $40. What’s you favorite flavor of ice cream?
Brivia Sky is an exclusive brand influenced by creativity and singularity. We pride ourselves on making clothing and accessories that are 100% original. We pride ourselves on making clothing and accessories that are original because we are people that follow our own blueprint. Brivia Sky was created for sneaker-heads, hipsters, skaters, and people that are not afraid to be that one person that stands out in a crowd.Â
NerdyShirts really knows how to capitalize on pop culture! Bruno has been out just a few days in theaters and already they’ve got a tee out! I knew someone would come out with this shirt when I saw the movie last Friday but I didn’t know that it would be this quick!Â
The shirt, titled GayBy, is from one of the funniest scenes in the film. Bruno is a guest on The Richard Bey Show, a talk show whose whose audience is 100% black. He then proceeds to bring out his little one dressed up in a miniature version of this shirt. Sacha Baron Cohen is definitely going to hell. Bloody, bloody comedic hell!Â
You can pick up GayBy from NerdyShirts for $14.95 today.
Next up is Brüno’s guest appearance on The Richard Bey Show (think low-rent Jerry Springer) as a single parent in search of a mate. The crowd of mostly black audience members accepts his entrance with applause, but he starts to lose them almost immediately with the revelation that he’s looking for a black man to be his partner. Things go downhill from there as his adopted African baby is brought out wearing a half-shirt with the word “Gayby†on it. And then photos appear on screens in front of the audience including pictures of the child crucified like Christ and hanging out in a hot tub with four naked, adult men…
Check out a clip of the scene on YouTube (sorry, they turned off embed for this video and I am not sure why).
Although I was a mere 5 years old when Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was released, I remember always catching it on reruns in the late 80′s and early 90′s on HBO. It’s one of those movies that doesn’t get old. When I spotted this tee from Busted Tees, it took me a while to figure out what image was of. Then it came to me, water tower!Â
You can pick up Save Ferris from Busted Tees for just $8. That’s cheap for an American Apparel shirt no matter how you swing it. You should wear it the next time you skip out of work (or school).Â
And if you’d like to go even cheaper than $8, you could always go the 6DollarShirts route and pick up their Save Ferris rendition.
Iconic is the latest tee from Grant Tucker’s label, Simply Complicated Apparel. It features the new Simply Complicated logo treatment (although I did dig the original logo treatment) overlayed with an image from the attack of Pearl Harbor. It’s a nice “brand” shirt but even better than that is his Pancho Villa Bandolero tee! He has definitely found a niche in taking classic images and making them his own.Â
Both Bandolero and Iconic is available for preorder at Simply Complicated for $17.99.Â
