I admit that 1. I am not a big Domino’s fan and 2. I never play Avoid The Droid. And now that those two disclaimers are out of the way, I present to you the Aovid The Noid T-Shirts from Domino’s Pizza. For those of you not familiar with Avoid The Noid, it was a platform computer game for the Commodore 64 and DOS, written in 1989 to promote Domino’s Pizza. It was modeled after the company’s ad campaign during the late 1980s. The ads featured a “noid” that destroyed pizzas and must be avoided.
“Cyber Monday is one of the busiest days of the year for online retailers, and Domino’s Pizza is now getting a slice of the action! For a limited time only, Domino’s is bringing back the Noid, their famous 1980’s advertising character, to help raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during its sixth annual Thanks and Giving campaign.”
These vintage-styled Noid shirts are currently available for sale at $19.99 a piece and is limited to 1 shirt per customer. $14 from the sale of each shirt will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The shirts have a limited print run of 1,000. It’s for a good cause so if you were a fan of the Noid, don’t avoid it, just pick one up!
