Renaissance Rocks

Oh you Enkel Dika, you outdid yourself this time! I absolutely love this tee KISS/Mona Lisa mashup tee by the man known as buko in the Threadless blogs. I think Gene Simmons and his tongue would definitely be proud of this piece. And by the way, you’ve got to love the detail on this design, especially the little pin on Mona and the tat just above her right tit. Love it.

Renaissance Rocks is available now from Threadless for $20, go get it!

Weekly Recap and Linkology | May 21, 2010

Sorry about missing the Linkology post last week. I was too busy preparing for all the LOST madness that was posted this past week! Please forgive me.

Around This Blog:

This past week has been ALL ABOUT LOST! And of course the best way to celebrate the last week and final two episodes of one of the greatest shows ever on television is by having an epic list of T-Shirts!

108 Lost T-Shirts, Tees, Shirts, T's

If you haven’t checked out Damon Carlton And A Polar Bear then you are missing out on some of THE BEST LOST T-Shirts around. I’m not kidding.

Locke Honor

I ran a short, flash contest that only last 5 hours. All you needed to do was write a LOST themed haiku and you could have won Constant, a LOST/Back To The Future mashup tee from Teefury. There were nearly 40 haiku entries! These two won the T-Shirts:

Reece Ward X Star Wars

Reece Ward, who I’ve featured on the blog quite a few times before (Tetris Skyline, Love Is Blind, Invisible), has landed quite a sweet gig. He was contacted earlier this year by Lucas Films and commissioned to do some official limited edition Star Wars T-Shirt.

“…Just before Christmas I was contacted by Lucasfilm Ltd. They contacted me, and said they where fans of my work, and would I like to design a couple of tees. And of course, without a moments hesitation, I said yes! I think I would have said Yes! If they had asked me to sell my soul!”

I might have sold my soul as well if given the opportunity!

According to Ward, his designs will be slowly released through the rest of the year and possibly beyond. To start, they’ve just made available Bow TIE Tuxedo and the Han Solo inspired Pyew Pyew designs. Both T-Shirts are available now for purchase for $21.99.

Congratulations Reece! I can’t wait to see the rest of your designs as they roll out!

Looks like our friends over at Kosher Ham has received some love from the one and only Chad Ochocinco, the very outspoken wide receiver of the Cincinnati Bengals. Ochocinco, famously known for changing his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ochocinco (because every sane man wants his last name to reflect his jersey number), was spotted on Dancing With Stars sporting the Child, Please T-Shirt from Kosher Ham.

And now you too can be just like Mr. Ochocinco, all you need to do is pick up Child, Please from Kosher Ham for the sale price of $15.99 (regularly priced at $19.99) and by the way, if you use the code COTYFANS at checkout you get an extra 10% off your entire order. Score!

Write A Haiku and Win The LOST Themed Constant T-Shirt from TeeFury

This contest will only last for the next 5 hours and will officially end at 5pm Hawaii time (11pm EST and 8pm PST). All you need to do is

1. Write a LOST themed haiku about anything LOST related. Not sure what a haiku is? It’s three line Japanese poetry and has a syllable count of 5, 7, 5. For instance:

Smoke Monster Is black.
Not a fan of mean monster.
Someone kill fake Locke.

2. Mention your T-Shirt size and whether you want a male or female fitted T-Shirt!

Winner(s) will receive today’s Teefury tee (Constant) which just so happens to be a LOST themed T-Shirt! I say Winner(s) because I’m not sure how many I’ll be giving away (1 will be given away for sure). It’ll depend on how many awesome entries we get! Also, don’t forget to mention your t-shirt size in your comment!

Leave your Haikus in the comments section of this post for your chance to WIN CONSTANT from TeeFury!

Smokebuster

LOST week continues with a little parody shirt courtesy of Threadless! The shirt is called Smokebuster and it was designed by Nacho Diaz Arjona aka Naolito in the Threadless blogs. The shirt is a mashup of two iconic entities, Ghostbusters and LOST. Because, well, who you gonna call when the Smoke Monster gets loose? It’s only logical to call the Ghostbusters! What other paranormal corporation would be able to take care of a very angry and vengeful cloud of black smoke that’s filled with spite?

Smokebuster is printed on a Slate American Apparel tee and is available now at Threadless for $18.
