Dreamnlive Apparel: I Rarely Sleep, But I Always Dream

When I first saw the “I Rarely Sleep, But I Always Dream” from Dreamnlive Apparel, I thought about another indie T-Shirt creator, Carlos from Oven Fresh Dreams. It might be 10pm or later Hawaii time, but I often see Carlos talking about hustling for his brand – developing, creating, and imagining new ideas. And mind you, if it’s 10pm Hawaii time, then it’s 4am in New York. That’s love.

That same love for dreaming is what Dreamnlive Apparel is all about. “Dreamnlive (pronounced: Dream-and-live) is an inspirational and innovative brand that was established as an outlet for the ideas, expressions, thoughts, and actions of its creators, with the hopes of positively influencing popular culture.”

When I first took a look at the Dreamnlive collection, I had this feeling that they were a chill and easy going brand that didn’t take themselves too seriously. I like that. If you’re a dreamer who likes big letters and bold colors then Dreamnlive Apparel is something that you should check out. All T-Shirts are priced at $24.99 and are available now at the Dreamnlive Apparel online shop.

A Beard Measuring Shirt

When I first spotted this T-Shirt I broke down laughing at its brilliance! It’s pure awesome. Designed by The Beardly, this beard measuring T-Shirt does exactly as advertised. It provides acceptable discriptors based on beard length. The discriptors vary from Manly to Civil War Generaly to Wizardly to Beardly. It’s so simple and so smart and the perfect companion to any beard heavy manly MAN.

The Beard Measuring T-Shirt is available now for $23.99.

Frank & Jan 2011 Collection

Our friends over at Frank & Jan sent over a link to a video lookbook that they created to show off their 2011 line of tees. The video definitely is making me miss summer already. They’ve got a collection of 5 different tees featuring the distinct Frank & Jan style – heavy on the black & white while infused with some vintage pop goodness. The Frank & Jan 2011 collection is available now at their online shop. Each T-Shirt is priced at $24 a piece.

An Introduction To Owling

Today I decided that I would ascend Koko Head Crater – one of three volcanic craters on the island of Oahu. I’m no stranger to this particular hike, and even though it is quite strenuous (1,048 total vertical steps), I’ve become very accustomed to it and have been using it to train for much more difficult hikes. This morning I decided that I would try and go super early and try to reach the top to see the sunrise over Honolulu. Unfortunately, the sun beat me up. Needlessto say, I did learn one new thing while on the top of Koko Head. While I was expressing angst over the planking movement, a friend of mine told me about the recent owling movement. As I mentioned on Facebook, both owling and planking are seriously retarded – but hey, I think owling > planking.

Of course, there is a T-Shirt for those owling fans which you can pick up from Crazy Dog Tshirts for $14.99.

And here are some photos of me owling on the top of Koko Head Crater. By the way, if you dig the views then I think that you would LOVE my new blog, Exploration: Hawaii. It basically chronicles the adventures that me and my buddies have around Hawaii. It’s good stuff!

Mr. Cluck’s Fried Chicken: Hello Hurley!

Oh my good ness it’s been a long time since I’ve featured a Lost T-Shirt. The last time I did was probably when I did this … and oh yeah, this. In any case, great T-Shirt from our friends over at TeeFury. Of course, the Mr. Cluck’s Fried Chicken is only available for the next few hours so be sure to grab this one ASAP. The best part is that it’s only $10 – you can’t really go wrong with that price.

Threadless Back To School $12 Sale

As I write this post I come to the realization that this is the first time, since I was 5, that I will not be going to school in the fall. No more classes. No more lectures. No more class projects. Sigh. It’s a bit weird to say the least. Instead of being a student this upcoming school year, I will instead begin my post-doctoral position as a neuroscience research specialist. Oddly enough, I’ll be supervising/mentoring 1-2 students of my own this coming year. Nice!

Enough about me, let’s talk T-Shirts. More specifically, let’s talk about the Threadless $12 Back To School Sale! There isn’t much to say except that the T-Shirts have been slashed about 40% – meaning you get an amazing deal.

Lot’s of tees to choose from, these are the ones that I will be ordering. Shop on T-Shirt fans, shop on!

Recursive Wil Wheaton – Wilception?

If you’re a regular here then you know that I love to post things that have personal relevance to me. Many of the T-Shirts that I post about I can somehow relate to – If not then why post about them, right? Here, we have an awesome Wil Wheaton inspired T-Shirt by Scott Meyer of the web comic Basic Instruction.

I love this T-Shirt for two reason, 1. I am a huge fan of the 80’s flick Stand By Me, and 2. What’s not to like about an infinite number of Wil Wheatons? Stand by Me is one of my all-time favorite films – without a doubt. I recently did a re-watch of this Stephen Kind written and Rob Reiner directed movie from 1986 and I have to say that it does stand the test of time. Stand by Me is a timeless movie and one that you should run out to see it if you haven’t done so already.

Interestingly, I spotted this blog over at FashionablyGeek, however, this tee design is far from being brand new. It actually first poppped up more than a year ago. In fact, Wheaton did a write-up of the T-Shirt and the story behind it. Check it out here, it’s an interesting read. Unfortunately, the T-Shirt is not for sale.

Buy Stand by Me (25th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition) from Amazon today for $14.99.

8-Bit Zombie: Loners & Rebels & Beetlejuice & Ghostbusters

If you’re seeking some vintage awesomeness then I suggest that you head on over to 8-Bit ZOMBIE and check out their latest line tees. They’ve got everything from Pee-Wee Herman to Beetlejuice to The Ghostbusters. How much better can you get? In fact, their newly redesigned website bleeds awesome sauce. It’s full of throwback love for every 80’s kid and then some. I actually got super excited when I first saw the preview images (see last image below). They reminded me so much of Garbage Pail Kids Trading Cards – I was a huge fan of those. In fact, I still have my entire Garbage Pail Kids collection!

My favorites from the new line is twofold. My first instinct led me straight to that amazing Ghostbusters piece. However, when I saw that they did a Neverending Story design, my mind was blown. So good! This new line is basically my childhood printed on T-Shirts. All that’s missing? Maybe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe designs would have been perfect – but I can always wait until next time.

The new 8-Bit ZOMBIE tees are available now at their online shop for $20 a piece.
