It never ceases to amaze me how far a T-Shirt can go even once it has passed its prime. We all have one (or maybe a few) tees that we just can’t bare to throw out. How about repurposing them as a sleeve for your MacBook Pro? That’s exactly what Hello Rewind does with their new service. They can turn your favorite T-Shirt into clothing for your laptop!
The process is quite simple:
You purchase a laptop sleeve in your laptop size (13″, 15″ or 17″)
We mail you a pre-paid envelope to send in your chosen t-shirt
We sew a custom sleeve using your t-shirt
Within 4-8 weeks, your computer will have something new to wear
Sweet! How much does it cost, you ask? The Hello Rewind service is priced at $49 across the board. What’s even cooler is that Hello Rewind is very passionate about … sex trafficking. They are interested in working with women formerly sex trafficked in New York City so they can learn new skills and support themselves. Every sleeve purchased goes to help Hello Rewind achieve this goal.
As a T-Shirt blogger I’d love to give one of these sleeves a try!
In this episode of Co-Tee TV I wear I Visited The Mothership by Apple, Inc. and review Say Anything (Steve Jobs) by Might Tees, a Seattle based T-Shirt company with a passion for sci-fi flicks, technology, Star Wars, samwise gamgee, Steve Wozniak, and making cool shirts.

Coty’s Thoughts:
Say Anything (Steve Jobs) by Might Tees.Pros: Super soft shirt! Might Tees uses Alternative Apparel organic shirts along with water-based inks so the print is nice and soft as well. Shirt comes packaged in a nice eco-friendly box made from recycled cardboard and is wrapped in recycled paper. Perfect shirt to get for any Apple geek – especially one that worships at the church of Steve Jobs. Cons: My only con for this shirt would be the wide neck opening, other than that – love it! Price: $26.99
I Visited The Mothership by Apple, Inc.Pros: If you ever visit the Apple Headquarters then you must get your hands on this shirt because you wont be able to find it elsewhere (except maybe on eBay for an inflated price). It makes for the perfect conversation starter. I guarantee that every time you wear this shirt people will ask: where’s the mothership? Cons: Makes me feel like an Apple retail store employee – just a little bit. Price: $16.
To say that Domenico Panacea is a MacAddict is probably an understatement. Panacea is an early adopter of a different sort. He spent $1300 just so he can borrow a Philips Lumalive T-Shirt for a month. I know, my eyes bulged just as big when I found out that after forking over $1300 he still did not own the T-Shirt. If you’re not familiar with the Lumalive, it’s from electronics manufacturer, Philips, and it integrates dynamic LED lighting into the fabric of the shirt.
The first thing Panacea did with the shirt? Well, he programed his favorite brand into the tee. What else do you think he’d do with a $1300 borrowed shirt? Of course you’re gonna program an Apple logo into it!
And in case you’re wondering, the shirt comes stocked with 128MB of memory that can blink out 10 minutes of text and it can glow for four hours at a time before needing to be recharged. I wonder when version 2.0 will be released?
As Wednesday creeps closer and closer the excitements has become nearly unbearable! Nonethless, Apple Week here marches on with this shirt from the guys that brought us such T-Shirts as iSteamPhone, Exploded 128 and iSteamMac. This new tee features our favorite iCEO, Steve Jobs, with the moniker I’m With Cocoa plastered below his mug.
Now, this one T-Shirt is a bit more for the hardcore Apple Geek because, unless you’ve been a Mac user for a while or are a programmer, chances are that you’re confused with the Cocoa reference.
Of course, the shirt is a parody of the recent influx of I’m With Coco gear in support of Conan O’Brien. But what does Conan have to do with Apple and Steve Job? Nothing, really. Cocoa here is in reference to Apple’s native object-oriented application program environment for the Mac OS X. It is one of five major APIs available for Mac OS X; the others are Carbon, POSIX (for the BSD environment), X11 and Java. And now you know and knowing is half the battle!
I’m With Cocoa was designed by Dwayne Clare and is available now from the I’m With Cocoa shop for $19 and you can even pick up an 18″ x 24″ poster for $19.

I’m quite sure that many of the regular readers here know that I am a diehard member of the Cult of Mac and I am damn proud of it. Many have speculated that this week Apple will be releasing the long awaited Apple Tablet. Whether it’ll be called the iTablet, iSlate, iPad, or the Jesus Tablet, I have high hopes that it’s going to be AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. And to celebrate I am officially making it Apple Week here at CotyGonzales.com! That’s right, you’ll notice an unusual influx of Apple posting this week – don’t worry, though, you’ll still get your T-Shirt fix – it’ll just be geared towards the Mac side of things!
I’ve got some fun posts planned this week so be on the look out for them! Apple users rejoice because it is looking to be an amazing week. I’m so excited!

Threadless has finally released their much anticipated iPhone cases. The popular tee company hinted at the cases a week ago at the start of their Facebook Fandemonium campaign. A week later, they delivered. Threadless has partnered with the popular Mac and iPod accessory developer, Griffin Technology.
The first set of iPhone cases feature two popular Threadless designs, Birds of the Feather by Ross Zietz and Clouds Within the Thunder by Joe Van Wetering. The new Threadles + Griffin iPhone cases are priced at $34 a piece. They feature the design on the back of the case and the artist information on the inside of the case. The cases themselves are less than 1mm thick.
Co-Tee TV is here and I’ve got on two Mac inspired T-Shirts in this episode. The first tee was intentional but the second tee was entirely coincidental! I am not even kidding. In this episode I wear I’m A Mac from Insanely Great Tees and review Macintosh from Print Liberation.
You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.
Coty’s Thoughts:
Macintosh by Print Liberation.Pros: You’ll buy this shirt because you’re a big Apple fan, simply love using your Mac or once had one of these original Macintosh’s. The shirt is printed on a Creme American Apparel T-Shirt and features halftones for depth and different shades of gray. Makes the perfect gift for any old school Mac fan or new school Apple fanboy! Cons: This is a no frills shirt so don’t expect fancy packaging or extra goodies but do expect a good quality screen print. Price: $18.00.
