Great Scott! Jon Wye’s T-Shirt Time Capsule!

I have been a big fan of Jon Wye’s since nearly the start of this blog. He was one of the first people to reach out and contact me about their products and was even one of the first to send me a product to video review. Of course, I’ve been trying to pay it forward ever since – blogging about his T-Shirts and belts whenever I get the chance (and even stopping by his brick and mortar shop in NYC!).

And now is a great chance to talk Jon Wye. For a limited time, you can score an amazing deal on some awesome Jon Wye tees. For $30 you will get 3 Jon Wye tees. One of the tees is guaranteed to be new, either seen on the website or not yet released. The other two t-shirts are any combination of new, vaulted designs from years past, or tees that we purposed for display/ modeling shoots (laundered of course). As a bonus, all orders will come with a Jon Wye key chain or Pirate Chef sticker. Now that’s a great deal for $30! Go pick up a Jon Wye Time Capsule pack now from the Jon Wye online shop.

The Empire Strikes Back to the Future

This is one of those parodies that make no sense. No sense at all. The shirt is called The Empire Strikes Back To The Future and other than the fact that both are iconic science fiction movies, I just don’t see the connection between Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Marty McFly’s Hover Board and Doc Brown’s DeLorean DMC-12.

BUT it is a good reason for me to share with you an awesome video featuring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, albeit an older and more mature Marty McFly. This video seriously made my day.

The video is a promotional ad for Spike TV’s 2010 Scream Awards, the event that honors the best in Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Comics and Horror. The cast of the famous 80’s time traveling flick will be reuniting at the Scream Awards to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the classic.

Oh, and if you want the shirt you can pick it up from TShirt Laundry for $16.

Write A Haiku and Win The LOST Themed Constant T-Shirt from TeeFury

This contest will only last for the next 5 hours and will officially end at 5pm Hawaii time (11pm EST and 8pm PST). All you need to do is

1. Write a LOST themed haiku about anything LOST related. Not sure what a haiku is? It’s three line Japanese poetry and has a syllable count of 5, 7, 5. For instance:

Smoke Monster Is black.
Not a fan of mean monster.
Someone kill fake Locke.

2. Mention your T-Shirt size and whether you want a male or female fitted T-Shirt!

Winner(s) will receive today’s Teefury tee (Constant) which just so happens to be a LOST themed T-Shirt! I say Winner(s) because I’m not sure how many I’ll be giving away (1 will be given away for sure). It’ll depend on how many awesome entries we get! Also, don’t forget to mention your t-shirt size in your comment!

Leave your Haikus in the comments section of this post for your chance to WIN CONSTANT from TeeFury!

DeLorean Time Machine Schematic

In 1985 Dr. Emmett Brown invented a time machine out of a stock DeLorean DMC-12. Since then, interest in the DeLorean has remained as people try to recreate Doc Brown’s game changing time traveling device. This T-Shirt from 80’s tees provides a glimpse into the inner workings of a Doc Brown tweaked DeLorean. Interested in making your own time machine out of a used DeLorean? This shirt is a great place to start. You can pick up the DeLorean Schematic tee from 80’s tees for an astoundingly cheap $20 (you’ll easily make up that money once you go back to 1998 and invest in a new and little known company known as Google).

And for you non-believers, here are a few more examples of this resurgence of interest in the DeLorean. The Los Angeles based streetwear brand, The Hundreds recently released these DeLorean tees to the small but loyal group of followers. In retrospect, The Hundreds popularity is astounding, might their unparalled popularity be due to them actually already owning a DeLorean time machine and having had gone back in time therefore gaining knowledge that their style of clothing would be in high demand in this day and age? We might never know.

McFly Till I Die

Back To The Future is easily one of my favorite movies from my childhood. Everything about that movie was iconic. So when I saw this shirt from Cuttin’ Up Hookers I was instantly drawn to it – it’s the 80’s kid in me. And need I say that image on this shirt of Marty McFly is epic! It truly is. I all of a sudden feel like watching this flick on DVD.

McFly Till I Die is available now from Cuttin’ Up Hookers for $19.99 but unfortunately it is available only in very limited sizes – small, extra large and girls large. Too bad I can’t go back in time to get myself a large.

It Came Out of Nowhere by Aled Lewis

Here’s an excellent tee from Aled Lewis that was recently available at Shirt.Woot as the shirt of the day. The tee is called It Came Out of Nowhere and although no longer available for 10 bucks, you can still pick one up at $15.

This is 2009 and in this day and age, no one ever has enough time for anything. The best solution? Time travel! Doesn’t that car remind you of the Doc Brown’s modified DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future? My question for those of you reading this: If you could go back in time and see one major even in history, what would it be?
