Olly Moss China Plates … are Uber Geeky Cool

Olly Moss China plates? File this under drool worthy. Fans of this blog know that I’ve been a fan of Olly Moss for the longest time. It’s no surprise, then, that I would totally dig these gamer-inspired dinner plates. Know someone who loves Pokemon or the Legend of Zelda? Then get ready to blow their mind. Pro Tip: Set the table, dim the lights, play the Zelda soundtrack on the old speaker system, and fill their plates with some turkey and mashed potatoes. They’ll be in for a surprise once they’ve finished all their food!

Not sure when these will be available for sale. Will keep you folks updated.

Ai WeiWei: The Most Dangerous Man In China

Before today, I never knew who Ai WeiWei was. Apparently, he is a threat to the Chinese government. He’s a threat because he is an artist and activist. Ai WeiWei has been very outspoken about the Chinese government. He “declared that China’s government has no humanity — and that the Communist Party is trying to silence anyone who disagrees with it.” He is an interesting character, check out the video below featuring an interview from CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. It’s an eye opener.

Of course, with controversy come interesting T-Shirts. Here are a few Ai WeiWei T-Shirts that I found interesting.

And here’s naked Ai WeiWei just because.

Dead Bury Dead + Takeout

In a perfect world, the dead would bury the dead and then head out for Chinese takeout. The guys over at Dead Bury Dead have just released their latest tee and its the perfect tee for those of you who 1. love Chinese food, or 2. love the typography of old school Kung Fu movies. Speaking for myself, I love both Chinese food and old Kung Fu movies. I used to watch the heck out of old Bruce Lee flicks as a kid.

What’s great about this shirt, other than the tee of course, is the great packaging that it comes in. It might just be your typical Chinese takeout box, BUT, it totally makes the T-Shirt that much better. The Dead Bury Dead took the theme of this T-Shirt to the next level, in my opinion. Having said that, are those Chinese characters on the tee Dead Bury Dead translated into Chinese? If you read Chinese, let us know!

Takeout is available now from Dead Bury Dead for $19.99.
