The Free Movement Projec is a brand that started in 2008. Started by Ashton Vaughn, FMP is based on creativity and randomness. And other stuff:
“So, what in the hell does “Free Movement Projec” mean? Why doesn’t the “Projec” have a “t” on the end? To tell the truth, I don’t know why the “Projec” doesn’t have a “t”. Maybe style? But trust me, the name of the brand has a meaning. Free Movement Projec is an indie clothing project created out of my love for creativity. Each unique design is somehow inspired by music (GOOD hip-hop, electronic, rock, etc.) and street and abstract art culture. fmp is for the artist, the one who spends time on his/her craft, no matter what it is. Whether you’re just sketching at your desk or nailing that trick you’ve been working on, you are representing the Free Movement. fmp Clothing just personifies that love.”
Fuchsia on dark grey. Lovely. I’ve been a fan of Fuchsia ever since I had my first big box Crayola crayons. Remember those? I remember begging for the box of 64 whenever we went shopping for school supplies in my youth. Now, the startup iOS app, PopBooth is all about the color Fuchsia. In fact, they love the color so much that they created a T-Shirt for Fuchsia fans around the world.
While you wait for your Fuchsia T-Shirt, you can grab the PopBooth app for free from the iTunes AppStore. PopBooth is a free photo booth app that turns 4 photos into a photo strip: post to Facebook, send by email, or send REAL photo strips in the mail. Neat! PopBooth is available for the iPhone and the iPad.
Designer Rob Dobi just released Series 10 of his Fullbleed line and I have to admit that it doesn’t disappoint. Dobi has a specific style, he does not rely on other artist for his brand, instead he relies on his own imagination and design skills to bring his concepts to life on T-Shirts. Fullbleed, which originally started as a side project of Dobi’s, has now become his full-time job. It’s easy to see why.
Series 10 consists of 10 new tees, a new hoodie and three silk-screened prints. It looks like nearly half of the T-Shirt line consists of prints on American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts. I’m a huge Tri-Blend fan so this is a welcome inclusion. The shirts are priced from $18-$20, with the hoodie priced at $40, and the prints $18.
Rob Dobi also had one of his design selected for print at the popular T-Shirt contest site, Design By Humans. Gateway is available now from Design By Humans for $19.
Every day I come up with a new witty Threadless TypeTees Slogan in hopes of earning a place amongst the Threadless wordplay elite. At the end of every week I post a round up of that weeks slogans here on my blog. What can you do to help the cause? Vote! Just click on a slogan (preferably all of them) and then vote by click “I’d Wear It!” – it’s that simple! If you want to see and vote for all of my slogans then just click here or on that photo of me with the Rockband guitar. Vote for me and I will cook you an spinach omelet with mushrooms, ham and lots of cheese if ever we meet in real life.
Oh, I really like this one! Because sometimes, colors can be indecisive. Take violet, for example – that color always seems as if it wants to be more blue then it does purple. And don’t even get me started with teal. Ugh, that teal.
The classic RUN DMC tee is one of my all-time favorite tees and so when I spotted Run Free by Fee Clothing I just had to share it. The shirt features the classic RUN DMC look, including the iconic red bars. Run Free does add a splash of color to the design, which is normally just black and red. You can pick up Run Free from Free Clothing for $18.
So if you’re not familiar with Deadmau5, he is a Toronto based based music producer (progressive/electric house) whose real name is Joel Zimmerman. That mouse head on the shirt below is his signature character. The shirt is titled Deadmau5 and features the Deadmau5 character but is not a Deadmau5 authorized tee. It’s actually a tee from NYC based tee contest site, Finroo.
I have to add that the colors on this shirt and the overall vibe is pretty wild. Deadmau5 fans will probably dig it. It is available now from Finroo for $34.99. I know it’s a steep price but rest assured, you are getting a quality product and probably the softest shirt you’ll ever own. Trust me on that, I’ve tried these tees from Finroo and they are ace.
