Today I decided that I would ascend Koko Head Crater – one of three volcanic craters on the island of Oahu. I’m no stranger to this particular hike, and even though it is quite strenuous (1,048 total vertical steps), I’ve become very accustomed to it and have been using it to train for much more difficult hikes. This morning I decided that I would try and go super early and try to reach the top to see the sunrise over Honolulu. Unfortunately, the sun beat me up. Needlessto say, I did learn one new thing while on the top of Koko Head. While I was expressing angst over the planking movement, a friend of mine told me about the recent owling movement. As I mentioned on Facebook, both owling and planking are seriously retarded – but hey, I think owling > planking.
Of course, there is a T-Shirt for those owling fans which you can pick up from Crazy Dog Tshirts for $14.99.
And here are some photos of me owling on the top of Koko Head Crater. By the way, if you dig the views then I think that you would LOVE my new blog, Exploration: Hawaii. It basically chronicles the adventures that me and my buddies have around Hawaii. It’s good stuff!

Isometric by EIO (Excess Is OK) Clothing.Pros: The tee from EIO Clothing has got to be THE softest shirt that I have ever had the pleasure of trying on. It’s even softer than that Finroo tee I reviewed a few months back. The shirt is just perfect, not too thin and yet not to thick and it feels great against your skin. It’s a trendy shirt, yes, and would probably best be suited for a night out to a club (maybe throw on a blazer and you’ll be good to go). The black and gold print is soft to the touch and does not weigh down the T-Shirt at all. Isometric features cut and sew elements with a custom neck tag and custom tag on the lower left portion of the shirt. Comes wrapped in tissue paper. Cons: A bit pricey, but then again, this is a high fashion T-Shirt made with high quality materials. Some people might not like that the length is made to come just below the belt. Price: £29.95 ($48 US)
Evolution of War by Crazy Dog T-Shirts.Pros: Fun design that’s perfect for any World of Warcraft addict (and we all know at least one of those). The Alstyle T-Shirt provides a nice fit that is comparable to American Apparel and the cotton feels good. Affordable at just $16.99. Cons: Not tagless, ink used for printing is a bit thick. Price: $16.99 (Use the code “HOHOHO” at checkout to score $5 off).
Here’s a great tee that I stumbled upon while perusing Rangga’s great site, Cottonable. This is probably the best shirt to have in the event that you find yourself in the middle of a zombie infestation. I always thought that zombies were a bit overrated in terms of the fright factor. I mean, come on, they are such slow movers! Unless of course you’re dealing with “I Am Legend” type zombies, in which case, this T-Shirt will probably not help you one bit.Â
