By the way, there’s a hidden free shirt somewhere in either this post or in the video. Find it and you will score a free shirt. You’ll know it when you see it – that’s the only clue I’m giving!
This week I continue my summer long series on Ongoing T-Shirt Contest Sites. Every week, I will be reviewing a different tee from one of many different online contest sites. I’ll be discussing how each of these sites differ, how the submission and selection process work and what your rights are as a designer. Check out past reviews on: ShirtFight, A Better Tomorrow, Full Metal T-Shirt, tFuse, Design By Humans and Teextile.

Coty’s Thoughts:
Bombs Away! by Dale Edwin Murray and available at Tilteed.Pros: Excellent four color print, vibrant colors, fun design, printed on an American Apparel blank so you know I love the it and feel. Shirts come with custom hangtags but mine was shipped before the tags arrived. Perfect shirt for the kid at heart or for those who like to drop bombs! Cons: Not tagless, plain mailer. Price: $18
Vince Vulcan by Cloxboy.Pros: If you swear by the Sham Wow then this is the shirt for you! Perfect mashup of two epic characters, the Vulcan Spock and Vince Shlomi. This shirt comes from the guys that brought us the iSteamPhone, Exploded360, and Exploded128. Soft print on an American Apparel blank, Cons: Not tagless. I kind of wish that the print was a tad larger. Price: $20.

Coty’s Thoughts:
You Might Need More Than A Nightlight This Time by Evanimal.Good: Nice custom packaging and T-Shirts are individually packaged. This is the first ever winning tee at ShirtFight and so it makes a nice collectors item. Printed on an American Apparel tee so you know I like the fit, 5 color soft print, orders come with a ShirtFight thumb wrestling kit. Bad: I wish they went tagless. Price: $18.00.
Exploded 128 by Garry Booth. Fun shirt for any Mac fanboy (like myself)! I’d wear this tee with pride any day. Love the colorway and it’s printed on a American Apparel tee so you know that I dig that! Price: $18.00.

Coty’s Thoughts:
Welcome Home by AlrightOK.Good: Great design, lot’s of extras including custom hangtags and pins, screen printed (discharge print) in three different areas (front, back and inner neck), tagless for itchfree comfort, print should get softer after first wash, and the packaging is top notch. Bad: The tee is printed on an Alstyle blank and is a little baggier than I am used to, but I am sure that after the first wash it will fit perfectly. Price: $22.00 but you can save 20% if you use the coupon code “coty” at checkout.
iSteamphone by Kevin Tong. This is a great T-Shirt for any Apple fan or even Da Vinci Fan, would make a great gift! Printed on an American Apparel blank so they are super soft and they fit well. This exploded tee puts other exploded tees to shame! Price: $20.00.
