Well, not really risqué per se but Wordboner tees do have a bit more edge than your typical Threadless Typetees shirt. The shirts are a spinoff of the Wordboner site, which they tout as typography with personality. I actually really like a bunch of their wordplay t-shirts (see below for a few of my favorites). They use direct-to-garment producers Spreadshirt so these tees are not screenprinted, that’s the only negative. The positive is that because they use Spreadshirt you’ll be able to choose from a variety of different T-Shirt styles and colorways. The Wordboner tees start at $14.99 for basic tees.

When Experimental Jetset created their “John & Paul & Ringo & George” for the Japanese label 2K/Gingham I would bet money that they probably did not think it would become the cultural icon that it did. “John & Paul & Ringo & George” has been parodied over and over and over again. Or should I say, Over & Over & Over again. NerdyShirts now adds to the list of brands and individuals capitalizing on the success of Experiment Jetset’s typographic idea. Pick up all four of these shirts for $19.97 a piece and score free shipping. Place your order before this Friday (12/18/2009) to make sure you receive it before Christmas!

Paper Root Clothing has released a ton of new tees printed on American Apparel Tri-Blend blanks. American Apparel Tri-Blend tees are some of the softest shirts I’ve worn, they are also a bit more slim fitting. Nonetheless, they feel really good! The new releases from Paper Root has got me really excited. There were a bunch of designs that I really dug, including their Mystical Seahorse tee and the Escape from DC tee (a parody of the Escape From New York/Escape from L.A. movies but featuring Abraham Lincoln as Snake). But you know how much I enjoy type tees so I just had to throw in their WIN tee, which isn’t necessarily a new release but that certainly doesn’t take away from it’s awesomeness.
The new Paper Root tees are priced at $20 a piece and are available now for consumption, err, I mean purchase!

Yes/No is the new pair of tees just released by the typography experts over at Ugmonk. I think the product description says it best:
“Sometimes you wake up feeling great and you’re willing to say “YES” to just about anything. Other times all you want to do is say “NO” – leave me alone! Now you can just let your shirts say it for you.”
You can pick up Yes/No for $38 from Ugmonk, be sure to use the coupon code “COTY09″ for an extra 10% off your entire order. And yes, you do get both shirts. And no, you can’t purchase these shirts separately.

I spotted this tee over at ATshirtBlog.com and it was too awesome to pass up posting here. I thought I’d spread the love for this Pop + Shorty designed tee a bit further. Buy this for any web designer and I guarantee that it will make their day! I hardly ever make guarantee but this tee is guaranteed to impressed even the most grouchy designers.
You Are The CSS To My HTML is printed on an Athletic Grey American Apparel Tri-blend tee (this shirt is OMG soft) and is available for purchase now at the Pop + Shorty store for $25.

Let’s say for a moment that you didn’t know this shirt spelled out Party Time. Let’s say you thought PAR, TYT, and IME were one of those fancy Internet acronyms kids used these days. What would PAR, TYT and IME stand for?
PAR: Peak At Rear (what does this even mean I have no idea?)
TYT: Take Your Time, Text Your Tits
IME: I have no idea.
Think of something for IME and post it in the comments! Party Time is printed on American Apparel blanks and you can pick one up from Wahey Clothing for £15.

Now here’s an interesting shirt from MySoti user and UK based graphic designer and illustrator, ropi. I have to say that I dig the concept a bit more than the actual execution of the shirt. It’s called Human Ingredients and I am guessing that it’s supposed to look like what we would see on something like a can of SPAM or similar food items. I actually would have preferred the list on the back of the tee and minus the UPC code. What do you guys think? Like it? If you do, you can pick it up from MySoti for $20.46.

The Problem by Ben Chlapek is the featured September tee from monthly T-Shirt site, 200 Nipples. Have I mentioned how much I love the name of the site? Well, I do. If you’re familiar with 200 Nipples then you know the deal: 100 shirts are printed, and are sold based on the shirt number. So, if you decide to buy shirt number 28 you’ll pay $28. If you’re the unlucky bastard who decides to wait till the 30th of the month then you might end up paying $100 for tee number 100.
As far as the shirt: I love it! I used to (and still at times do) sketch weird and random sayings in my notebook. What else to do when you’re bored in lecture? What kinds of things would you sketch in your notebook while you were bored in class?

My favorite typography inspired T-Shirt brand, Ugmonk, just turned 1! And to celebrate, founder Jeff Sheldon, has released a limited edition (100 numbered) 1st anniversary Ugmonk tee. Only 100 of this shirt was made and it comes in special packaging and includes a hand numbered card. Unfortunately, the shirt doesn’t cost just a buck (we can dream, can’t we), it’ll set you back $30.

2 + 3 = 5. But, you knew that already. If not, well, 1. I feel sorry for you and 2. you should be ashamed! All kidding aside, I’ve never been the best person to go to for math advice but this shirt does seem like math advice overkill if you ask me! Nonetheless, you need to appreciate the attention to detail that Ugmonk founder, Jeff Sheldon, puts into each one of his designs. His love for typography undoubtedly comes across in each one of his designs.
The recently restocked Math Problem tee is available now for sale at $21. But, my suggestion for you: pick one up now if you want one! After just a few days of being available stock is clearly running low. Hint: Use the coupon code COTY09 at checkout to save an additional 10% off your entire order!
