Co-Tee TV Episode 73: Play Ball, Verde Styles and The Last Flight

In this episode of Co-Tee TV I wear Play Ball by Fur Face Boy and review The Last Flight by Verde Styles, a brand that is doing its part in the world by delivering a line of meaningful products that carry with them the message of “change.”

Verde Styles is also in the running for a huge $25,000 prize in the Pepsi Refresh Everything Good Idea campaign. You can help out Verde Styles by Liking their idea here. They are currently ranked #11 Their goals are:

  • Have an apparel line of over 25 environmentally friendly products
  • Plant 3,000 more trees through our current partner – American Forests
  • Host 20 recycling drives around the nation
  • Initiate 5 park and beach clean-ups
  • Partner with multiple charities that represent various causes

Coty’s Thoughts:

The Last Flight by Verde Styles. Pros: Each T-Shirt from Verde Style is environmentally conscious and tells the story of a specific environmental cause. This tee specifically brings to light the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and its effect on ocean animals. The design is printed on an American Apparel tee, mainly because Verde Styles appreciates that it is made sweat shop free. T-Shirt is available in both mens and womens fitted styles so that means girls aren’t left with a unisex tee intended for guys. The best part about Verde Styles is that for each T-Shirt sold, a tree is planted via American Forests. Great T-Shirt for anyone that is concerned about the environment and would like to help out while receiving an awesome shirt at the same time. Cons: I think that Verde Styles could do a little more to make the packaging a little more presentable. Maybe get a little creative with the packaging and run with the recycling theme somehow. Price: $15.99.

“Verde Styles is a clothing line centered on the idea of improving our living environment. The approach that we take as a clothing line is to produce visually appealing apparel by way of artistic design. All of our designs are meant to inspire growth as a society. The designs all stand for growing issues in the world today, whether it is global warming or deforestation. All of the global issues rest in the back of our mind when making a decision that will affect Verde Styles.”

FFB Play Ball by Fur Face Boy. I’m not the biggest baseball fan, so this Fur Face Boy tee doesn’t scream to me like the previous FFB tees reviewed here. However, it does come with all of the bells and whistles as the other tees in the Fur Face Boy Series III line – custom hang tags, custom neck and lower seam labels, printed on a comfy American Apparel tee, individually packaged with sexy FFB stickers. For more Fur Face Boy goodness, check out Episode 70 of Co-Tee TV. Price: $32.

Co-Tee TV Episode 72: Fantastic Fur Face Boy, Vaughn de Heart and a French Lesson

In this episode of Co-Tee TV I wear The Fantastic Fur Face Boy and review the Les Gens Courageux by Vaughn de Heart, a brand that was born out of one persons love for fashion and a single random moment.

Fur Face Boy sent me an insane amount of T-Shirts from their Series 3 Line. I will be featuring the shirts throughout Co-Tee TV Episodes 70-79 so definitely keep an eye out for even more Fur Face Boy in the coming weeks! See Episode 70 of Co-Tee TV for the Fur Face Boy full review.

Coty’s Thoughts:

Les Gens Courageux by Vaughn de Heart. Pros: Les Gens Courageux comes packaged in a large custom black Vaughn de Heart plastic bag and is further wrapped in a separate plastic package (great way to protect the T-Shirt during the shipment). This V-Neck shirt is wonderfully soft and is nicely form fitting. I love that the neck hole is not extremely wide and long like many V-Necks that I have experienced in the past, instead it is just right. The single color, black print on the front features excellent typography and the print itself is not too think. Each Vaughn de Heart shirt comes packaged with a Vaughn de Heart drawstring canvas bag for free. This is definitely a nice surprise for anyone that orders from Vaughn de Heart. Also included in the package was a Vaughn de Heart sticker. Cons: I wasn’t the biggest fan of the print on the left sleeve since it was a bit thick. I also thought that the print on the front was enough as is, since the simplicity and message of the front is what makes the shirt a solid pick. Price: $13 but you can save 10% off your order by using the coupon code “COTY” at checkout.

The Fur Face Boy Summer 2010 Series

Our friend Ha Mai of Fur Face Boy just released some teaser photos of his upcoming Summer 2010 Series, and man am I drooling! The summer series, will be released this Saturday in Dallas, Texas at Adikt Footwear. Included in the new line are 4 brand new Fur Face Boy T-Shirts, 1 Tank and special Fur Face Boy x Adikt collaboration tee.

The FFB x Adikt collaboration tee is limited to a print of 36 so be sure to grab yours before they are gone forever (remember, Fur Face Boy rarely, if ever, does reprints). I have to say that I am really digging this collab tee. It’s a solid follow up to the super popular Little FFB shirt that I sported in Episode 71 of Co-Tee TV. I’m just jealous that I won’t be able to head down to Adikt to grab one.

The rest of the summer line includes some 90’s nostalgia, more comic book references and the return of Bearmaibrick!

No word yet on pricing for the new FFB tees, but you can expect it to be at or around the $32 price point of other FFB T-Shirts.

Co-Tee TV Episode 71: Fur Face Boy, I Hate Clowns and T-Shirt Forums

In this episode of Co-Tee TV I wear Little Fur Face Boy and review the Experimental Jetset Parody Tee by I Hate Clowns, a brand that was established in 1996 and passionately hates all things clown related. Like, they seriously hate clowns.

I Hate Clowns Experimental Jetset Parody by I Hate Clowns. Pros: Perfect T-Shirt for those of you who loathe clowns and everything clown related. Tagless tee that instead features a custom screen printed neck tag. Relatively soft print on a 100% cotton T-Shirt. T-Shirt ships in a plastic bag to protect it from the elements during shipment. T-Shirt also came with an I Hate Clowns keychain and stickers. Cons: The T-Shirt itself, though a bit shorter in length than I am typically used to, is otherwise flawless. Experimental Jetset purist might disapprove the use of the “I Hate” text above the clown names. Price: $19 but you can save 15% off your order by using the coupon code “YAKKO” at checkout.

Co-Tee TV Episode 70: Guilty Pleasures, Fur Face Boy and Whip It

In this episode of Co-Tee TV I wear Guilty Pleasures by Wotto for Tilteed and review Whip It by Fur Face Boy, a brand founded by Ha Mai and based out of Dallas, Texas. Fur Face Boy is a A highly attentive to detail T-shirt brand representing the passion of its founder, today’s youth culture and all of the quirkiness in-between!

Fur Face Boy sent me an insane amount of T-Shirts from their Series 3 Line. I will be featuring the shirts throughout Co-Tee TV Episodes 70-79 so definitely keep an eye out for even more Fur Face Boy in the coming weeks!

Coty’s Thoughts:

Whip It by Fur Face Boy. Pros: One of the best attributes of the Fur Face Boy brans is its impeccable attention to detail. Everything about Fur Face Boy is customized, from the packaging to the T-Shirt to the included goodies. The shirts came packaged in a shoe box sized box that was customized with my name screen printed on (how awesome is that) and also included were a Fur Face Boy poster, lookbook and a CD press kit. The T-Shirt reviewed, Whip It, pays homage to the classic 80’s group, Devo. It features the quirky red hat made popular by Devo. The design is printed on a Sunshine American Apparel tee and the print it self is very soft, especially for such a large print. The T-Shirt features a custom neck tag and a professional hangtag as well. On the lower left seam of the T-Shirt you will find a custom tag featuring the classic Fur Face Boy tag. Fur Face Boy is also screen printed on the left arm sleeve of the T-Shirt. You can definitely taste Ha Mai’s passion with each of his T-Shirts. Cons: Cons? Are you kidding me? Other than the aggressive pricing,  I love everything about this T-Shirt and I love the brand even more. Is Fur Face Boy the next Johnny Cupcakes? It might be too early to say, but I can tell you that Ha Mai and Fur Face Boy is steam rolling toward that direction. Fur Face Boy is awesome. Price: $32.
