8-Bit Dynamic Life T-Shirt

Looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day T-Shirt? This 8-Bit Dynamic Life T-Shirt might be just what you’re looking for you, especially if you and your significant other loves video games. When the both of you are wearing this interactive tee and within hugging distance then all six pixelated hearts will light up. Likewise, when apart, your heart level will drop down to just two and a half hearts. Awww, how cute.

Staying healthy is the key to keeping yourself alive. Video game characters know this all too well. When your red heart gauge reaches zero… you die. For non-bitmap humans like you this is more of a challenge. But luckily after extensive study at ThinkGeek labs we’ve determined that people feel best when they are in close proximity to something that they adore. Don’t understand? Well luckily for you we’ve created this amazing 8-Bit Dynamic Life Shirt to illustrate.

Buy one of these glowing shirts for yourself, and gift one to your significant other (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, fembot 2000…). During your normal activities two and a half pixelated hearts will light up on your shirt. Hey… you’re depressed and in need of a recharge. But get within hugging distance of your significant other wearing the matching shirt and suddenly the hearts on both of your shirts start to light up until you’re fully powered up. Go too far astray from the source of your affections and you’ll drop back down to two and a half hearts again. Got it?

The 8-Bit Dynamic Life T-Shirt is available now from ThinkGeek for $17.99.

Know Your Nerds

What kind of nerd are you? According to this new Threadless tee by Riccardo Bucchioni, there are 9 major nerd types:

  1. Computer Nerd
  2. Sci-fi Nerd
  3. Rpg Nerd
  4. Comic Book Nerd
  5. Otaku Nerd
  6. Gaming Nerd
  7. Science Nerd
  8. Movies Nerd
  9. Music Nerd

Let’s see, if I had to classify myself into a specific class of nerd then I would have to say that I am most likely a Science Nerd. Though, I am pretty sure that I could hold my own against Movie Nerds and Computer Nerds (especially those that subclassify themselves as Apple Nerds). What kind of nerd are you?

By the way, this T-Shirt reminds me a bit of this little infographic that I posted more than 2 years ago. Geeks rule the world!

Know Your Nerds by Riccardo Bucchioni is available now at Threadless for $18.

Spun Dry

Spun Dry is another goofy design from one of my favorite T-Shirt designers, Glenn Jones. But, besides the actual T-Shirt, what do you think of those custom Spidey whitey tighties! What geek wouldn’t want to have Spider-Man’s logo covering his crotch. OK, maybe that would be just a small proportion of geeks – but still.

If you either 1. love Spider-Man, or 2. secretly want a pair of Spidey branded whitey tighties, then head on over to Glennz Tees to pick up Spun Dry for $19.95.

Sheldon Shirts Collection (Big Bang Theory)

I don’t watch the Big Bang Theory religiously (although I should), but I have seen my fair share of episodes. If you’re a fan of the show and you love tees then you’ll most likely have noticed Sheldon’s obsession with geeky, science-y, and comic book type T-Shirts. He must have large closet space to hold his wares.

One enterprising Big Bang Theory fan has assembled a very unique T-Shirt site. The site SheldonShirts.com is a chronicle of each of the nerdy shirts that Sheldon has worn on the Big Bang Theory. They have a fairly sizeable collection and they link to the shirts if they are still available for sale. Pretty neat idea in a I wish I had thought of that sort of way!

“You’ve reached T-shirt Nerdvana! Here at SheldonShirts.com, we’ve collected all the best t-shirts worn by Sheldon and Leonard on The Big Bang Theory, plus Howard’s belt buckles, some shirts we think Sheldon and Leonard should wear, cool stuff seen on the show (Periodic Table shower curtain, anyone?), some of our favorite Sheldon quotes and lots more. Find out where to buy your favorite tee shirts!”

When Geek-ness Goes Retro…

If I were still doing Coty Loves Threadless I would bet that When Geek-ness Goess Retro by Riccardo Bucchioni would be a Threadless Pick of the Week. It’s such a cool shirt and it reminds me of those mail order ads that I’d find scattered in old school comic books back in the day. I remember always seeing ads for X-Ray glasses and I remember never getting them (what’s an 8-year-old kid to do with no checkbook). As an adult (with a checkbook on hand), maybe I should invest in a pair of vintage X-Ray glasses and see once and for all if they really work. Hmmmm…..

NerdyShort #1 + Who Writes This Stuff?

What’s awesome about the first NerdyShirts NerdyShort is not necessarily the short itself, but the fact that it was shot entirely on an iPhone 3G S! How cool is that! I’m a fan of compact video making so I cannot wait to pick up and try out the new iPhone 3G S video features. My only wish was that it could shoot in HD ala the Flip Mino HD. Maybe in the next iteration? Maybe.

Below NerdyShort #1 I’ve got the 3 NerdyShirt tees that are seen in this short film – Nerd, Free Hugs and Admiral Ackbar’s It’s A Trap Shirt. Each of those shirts are available for purchase at NerdyShirts for $19.95.

It's A Trap

And finally from NerdyShirts I’ve got their newest tee, it’s called Who Writes This Stuff and is based on a shirt from the new Adam Sandler/Judd Apatow flick, Funny People. If you were this shirt I guarantee it will strike up conversation. Whether you want that or not, well, you decide! It’s available for presale now at NerdyShirts for $14.95.

Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock

Anyone here fans of Big Bang Theory? If so, you need to check out this T-Shirt from ThinkGeek.com.
