Designer Rob Dobi just released Series 10 of his Fullbleed line and I have to admit that it doesn’t disappoint. Dobi has a specific style, he does not rely on other artist for his brand, instead he relies on his own imagination and design skills to bring his concepts to life on T-Shirts. Fullbleed, which originally started as a side project of Dobi’s, has now become his full-time job. It’s easy to see why.
Series 10 consists of 10 new tees, a new hoodie and three silk-screened prints. It looks like nearly half of the T-Shirt line consists of prints on American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts. I’m a huge Tri-Blend fan so this is a welcome inclusion. The shirts are priced from $18-$20, with the hoodie priced at $40, and the prints $18.
Rob Dobi also had one of his design selected for print at the popular T-Shirt contest site, Design By Humans. Gateway is available now from Design By Humans for $19.
Every day I come up with a new witty Threadless TypeTees Slogan in hopes of earning a Threadless Alumni Club Medal of Honor. At the end of every week I post a round up of that weeks slogans here on my blog. What can you do to help the cause? Vote! Just click on a slogan (preferably all of them) and then vote by click “I’d Wear It!” – it’s that simple! If you want to see and vote for all of my slogans then just click here or on that photo of me with the Rockband guitar. Vote for me and I will bake you your own burrito if ever we meet in real life.
I was listening to someone talk about biochemistry and this slogan popped up in my head! Would make a good Valentines Day TypeTee, Threadless staff **Wink, Wink**!
OK, you need to be both a web geek and a Threadless geek to get this one. Before Twitter made 140 characters an iconic cultural limitation, OMG Clothing (later to become TypeTees) made 65 characters the max you had to get your thought across. In my opinion, 65 is so much harder to do than 140.
Step 1. Find yellow and green marker. Step 2. Color yourself with said markers until your entirely green. And there you go – BAM – GREEN! Now go worry about your carbon footprint.
Really, it should! If cameras can do it then why not the eyeball! Imagine if you could zoom in and out using your MIND. That would be insane. I want that!
Let me warn you beforehand that Episode 32 of Co-Tee TV is one fun episode! It ended up being very long as well, maybe because I can talk hours at a time about Apple products. And because of that I was very excited to review Slide To Unlock from Milk & Eggs Co. because the shirt is based on a device I could probably not live without – my iPhone! Hope you enjoy this episode, just one more day (and video) left until this week over!
You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.
Coty’s Thoughts:
Slide To Unlock by Milk & Eggs Co..Pros: I absolutely adore this shirt and think the concept is brilliant. The shirt itself is printed on an American Apparel blank which is always a plus in terms of quality. I think any iPhone user would enjoy this shirt, it would make for a perfect gift! Custom hangtags add a professional touch and the added goodies in the package like the Milk & Eggs buttons and stickers are an awesome bonus. Cons: I have no complaints when it comes to this shirt. Price: $20.
I definitely have to pick up this tee for my sister because she absolutely insists on collecting as many “I Heart X” tees as cities I can visit. Her collection is growing at a rapid pace so much so that maybe a quarter of her closet is filled with this tourist staple. The Go Heart Your Own City tee was made for her! It’s printed on a 100% cotton tee and is an exclusive re-release by Reason Clothing. These are extremely limited and are numbered 1 to 48. The cost? Definitely not the standard tourist street price. A I Heart NY tee will set you back 5 bucks, this limited print will cost you $36.
