The T-Shirt Lifecycle

I spotted this on Laughing Squid and though it was pretty nifty. Nick Fosta of the Sleeping In My Head blog came up with this genius flow chart featuring the lifecycle of a typical T-Shirt.

“I have a T-shirt problem: after years of buying them, my house is now full. Whilst recently trying to tidy up the situation I realised that I was subconsciously categorising them. As with everything on the internet, it ain’t a ‘thing’ until it’s visualised in an infographic.”

His flowchart logic is pretty spot on, and I actually find myself categorizing T-Shirts in much the same way.

Infographics are all the rage on the Internet, but no one does it better than Dr. Sheldon Cooper of the Big Bang Theory.

It’s not surprising that when Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory decides he needs a new friend (Bawwy Kwipke, because of his wole with the Open Science Gwid Computew), he approaches the problem scientifically. Because we all occasionally need a little help doing that, we’ve reproduced his flowchart on this shirt. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to follow the arrows when you’re wearing it so you either need to convince an extant friend to wear this shirt with you (which can lead to awkward questions) or rig a series of mirrors. We recommend the mirrors. It involves fewer humans.

The Friendship Algorithm Flowchart T-Shirt is available now from ThinkGeek for $17.99.
