Again, I owe it to Twitter because without it I would not have ever found this tee! I love stumbling across great new brands awesome T-Shirts. Slide To Unlock from Milk & Eggs Co. is just straight up cool. Or, as I put it in a tweet I made about the shirt, “it’s OMFG good!”
This design will probably bring a smile to any iPhone user but will likely resonate most with relationship seeking iPhone owners! You can pick up this shirt from Milk & Eggs Co. for $20, and yes, it is printed on an American Apparel shirt for a cool and comfy feel.
This week I also start the summer long series on Ongoing T-Shirt Contest Sites. Every week, I will be reviewing a different tee from one of many different online contest sites. I’ll be discussing how each of these sites differ, how the submission and selection process work and what your rights are as a designer. This week we kick things off with ShirtFight!
You Might Need More Than A Nightlight This Time by Evanimal.Good: Nice custom packaging and T-Shirts are individually packaged. This is the first ever winning tee at ShirtFight and so it makes a nice collectors item. Printed on an American Apparel tee so you know I like the fit, 5 color soft print, orders come with a ShirtFight thumb wrestling kit. Bad: I wish they went tagless. Price: $18.00.
Exploded 128 by Garry Booth. Fun shirt for any Mac fanboy (like myself)! I’d wear this tee with pride any day. Love the colorway and it’s printed on a American Apparel tee so you know that I dig that! Price: $18.00.
In this episode I wear iSteamphone by Kevin Tong and review Welcome Home from AlrightOK, a Florida based brand that is a single-minded collective visually expressing their loves, hates and fears through the medium of T-Shirts. Use the coupon code “coty” on your next AlrightOK purchase and save 20%. As always, enjoy with tea and a comfy tee!
Welcome Home by AlrightOK.Good: Great design, lot’s of extras including custom hangtags and pins, screen printed (discharge print) in three different areas (front, back and inner neck), tagless for itchfree comfort, print should get softer after first wash, and the packaging is top notch. Bad: The tee is printed on an Alstyle blank and is a little baggier than I am used to, but I am sure that after the first wash it will fit perfectly. Price: $22.00 but you can save 20% if you use the coupon code “coty” at checkout.
iSteamphone by Kevin Tong. This is a great T-Shirt for any Apple fan or even Da Vinci Fan, would make a great gift! Printed on an American Apparel blank so they are super soft and they fit well. This exploded tee puts other exploded tees to shame! Price: $20.00.
If you didn’t already know, I am an Apple fanboy and as such I am a sucker for Mac themed tees. This t-shirt by Gary Gao is no exception. It’s called MacGhosts and is actually a reissue of a tee that Gary sold on his site in 2008. Many people that own Mac’s have the most difficult time letting go of their machines. I myself still have every Mac that I have ever owned tucked away somewhere in my home. They are too precious to let go of!
MacGhosts let’s us have a peak at what’s goes on with those Mac’s when they have been put away to rest. Kinda spooky but kinda fun at the same time! This tee sports a 4 color soft-hand plastisol screenprint on American Apparel Asphalt shirt. You can pick one up for just $17.Â

Also, if you missed it, check out this post that I did a few weeks ago regarding iSteamPhone.Â
I’m a big fan of Leonardo da Vinci and I cannot live without my iPhone. So when I first saw this tee on Gizmodo my jaws dropped, it’s so cool! This tee, aptly titled iSteamPhone, was created by Artist Kevin Tong, who “captures the invention of da Vinci, the imagination of H.G. Wells, and the brilliance of Jonathan Ive in this Exploded iPhone drawing.”Â
You might remember, the Exploded Phone tee that made the blog rounds a few weeks back – well, I have to say that this tee might have that one topped! The tee is available now for $20 and is printed on American Apparel shirts.Â
The good folks over at 10tees inspired me to come up with a top 10 list of my own. In preparation for Macword Expo 2009 - I have come up with a list of 10 Essential Tees for MacAddicts!Â
Show the world how much you adore your favorite OS (Mac OS X), brand (Apple), piece of hardware (iPhone) or even personality (Steve Jobs). There’s a shirt here to fill the t-shirt void of every sector of the Apple cult. Go ahead and indulge yourself.Â
Before there was the “i” there was the “e” and the “e” in this case stood for enhanced. The Apple IIe has the distinction of being the longest-lived computer in Apple history. If you were a proud IIe owner, then this is a great tee to pick up! The Chop Shop Apple IIe Template tee is a steal at 10 bucks!
How many of these Apple products did you own? You can quickly spot a PowerMac G4, PowerMac G5, iMac G3, iMac G4, iMac G5 and a first generation iPod. But a true MacAddict can without a doubt and no hesitation tell you what the other two models are. Can you identify the other two Apple products? Pick up this tee at Go Ape Shirts for $19.Â
I love the I’m A Mac commercials and now I can tell the whole world that I too am a Mac. For $19 pick up this tee from Insanely Great Tees. Alternatively, if you drive down to Apple’s Cupertino Headquarters, you can pick up an authentic Hello, I’m A Mac tee.Â
Real men don’t mind wearing hearts. Especially one shaped like an Apple. Insanely Great Tees says it best: “Some people think that you have a problem with all this computer stuff. But they just don’t understand – it’s not a game. This is serious. This is forever. It’s… love.” Show your love for just $19.Â
Johnny Cupcakes recently released some new Apple gear, and you know how much I dig Apple gear! The new Johnny Cupcakes iPhone cases are 100% rubber and fit both the first generation and 3G iPhone. The cases sport the classic Johnny Cupcakes fork logo on the back with the classic bones and cupcake. You can purchases the cases now in Gray and Pink color options for $24. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick one of these cupcake cases up next week when I am up in Boston – you know I’ll be hitting up the Newbury Johnny Cupcakes Store!
Here’s a great and fun little iPhone app that I just discovered while perusing the Threadless forum boards. Developed by Threadless user Ian Marsh (eeenmachine), Threads allows you to easily browse in-stock designs at Threadless straight from the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Not only can you browse Threadless tees, but you can buy tees directly from within the App (ok, this is a stretch, the app forwards you to the Threadless site via Safari). The app also makes use of the accelerometer – you are shown a different tee design every time you shake the phone while the app.
Even cooler, you can save these beautiful designs directly to your iPhone by tapping on the camera icon. Onc you click the camera icon all onscreen menus disappear and your left just with the design. From there you use the screen capture trick and then images are saved to your photo album and can then be used as Wallpaper for your iPhone! Pretty slick little app, I think! The app itself is snappy and works excellently on my first generation iPhone.
