Remember those choose-your-own-adventure books that we used to read as kids in the 80’s? Well, this T-Shirt from Wordboner is sorta like those books. And I dig it. Wear the shirt and the people around you fill in the blank. You heart someone? Then look at that special someone in the eyes and then point to this shirt with an affectionate smile. Annoyed at someone? Roll your eyes and then point to the shirt. Absolutely hate someone? Well, you could always flip them off and then point to this shirt. It’s multipurpose.
Zamforia is a Boston based brand that started off by selling their T-Shirts out of a Jeep Wrangler on the streets of of Boston. They originally used “love in different languages” as a theme for their artwork and their latest tee carries on with this tradition.
Love In Hindi was inspired by henna tattoos. It features a mix our classic sign language logo and love in Hindi. The product blurb on the Zamforia shop calls this T-Shirt clean and classy. I’d have to agree.
FYI: The backwards “R-looking” character and the “4-looking” character are the letters that make up the word “love” in Hindi, the 3rd largest language in the world.
Love In Hindi is available now from Zamforia for $28.
The Chop Shop T-Shirts have become quite iconic. They’ve got a very unique style that appeals to not only geeks, but also design nerds. The latest shirt will also get music fans excited. And if you’re a Beatle fan then you probably already have your credit card out and ready.
The T-Shirt is called 85 Icons of Fab History and Songs and it features 85 icons related to the “four lads who shook the world” in both history and song. The Chop Shop warns that some of the icons can only be cracked by die-hard fans! As a Beatles fan, I have to admit that I really dig this T-Shirt. It’s going to be fun trying to identify all of those tiny silhouettes!
85 Icons of Fab History and Songs is available now from The Chop Shop for $23.
By the way, what are my favorite Beatles songs? Easy.
- Hey Jude
- Let It Be
- I Want To Hold Your Hand
Twitter is a wonderful thing. A post on Twitter about a recent purchase from Ugmonk sparked a conversation with @iambrookside (add him on Twitter) about his own brand, Brookside Clothing. Of course, I was curious so I took a look at his shop and lo and behold, he surprised me with some delightful designs.
The first that stuck out at me was Know Your Roots. I love the message, colorway, typography. It’s an excellent shirt. The other one was Do It, which interestingly is very similar in theme to the random Ugmonk Shirt that sparked our conversation, Do What You Love. I recommend that you check out both T-Shirts which are available now from the Brookside online shop for $15.
This is Instagram T-Shirt Spotting. I use Instagram a lot. A LOT. This makes sense since I’m pretty much glued to my iPhone and I love to snap photos. One of the great things about Instagram are the awesome random photos that I stumble upon. Occasionally I spot an awesome T-Shirt on Instagram like Love Is Happy and Unhappy from @nooneknowsmyname on Instagram. I love the words on the T-Shirt.
*I made this name up. Like many of the T-Shirts posted on Instagram, there is no mention of the brand name or T-Shirt design name.
I have to admit, it kind of pains me to post that California Love T-Shirt. I’ve got nothing against the state, in fact, San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. However, California is home to … errr, The Lakers. Yes, I am a Laker hater. With that said, I love the name play (shirt is called California Love) of the T-Shirt and I dig how they tweaked the state outline. Cool.
I included the Evolution of the Muff T-Shirt for giggles. And because I can. And because I know there is maybe a pinky full of you who would buy that T-Shirt. Go for it.
The Ashkahn tees designed by Ashkahn Shahparnia are priced at $19 a piece, that’s 41% off the retail price of $32.00. Remember, Fab.com is invite only so if you’re not already a member, here’s an invite from ME to YOU. *Shipping to Hawaii requires an additional $25 per order. Come on Fab, can we get this fixed. It doesn’t cost $25 to ship to Hawaii. I know because I live here!
They’ve also got some really cool pillows and prints for sale. I’m really digging on the bold red “BORING” pillow. Love it.
When I first saw the “I Rarely Sleep, But I Always Dream” from Dreamnlive Apparel, I thought about another indie T-Shirt creator, Carlos from Oven Fresh Dreams. It might be 10pm or later Hawaii time, but I often see Carlos talking about hustling for his brand – developing, creating, and imagining new ideas. And mind you, if it’s 10pm Hawaii time, then it’s 4am in New York. That’s love.
That same love for dreaming is what Dreamnlive Apparel is all about. “Dreamnlive (pronounced: Dream-and-live) is an inspirational and innovative brand that was established as an outlet for the ideas, expressions, thoughts, and actions of its creators, with the hopes of positively influencing popular culture.”
When I first took a look at the Dreamnlive collection, I had this feeling that they were a chill and easy going brand that didn’t take themselves too seriously. I like that. If you’re a dreamer who likes big letters and bold colors then Dreamnlive Apparel is something that you should check out. All T-Shirts are priced at $24.99 and are available now at the Dreamnlive Apparel online shop.
Love is complicated. Love is hard. Love is rough. Love is a compromise. Love is joy. Love is a Rubik’s cube. Most importantly, love is worth it. And that is why I can definitely appreciate Complicated Heart by Odd Society. Complicated Heart is available now for $20.
Ah, good ol’ Valentine’s Day. I’m not at all religious, but, a few of my Facebook acquaintances are. One of them posted this interesting story: “One story of St. Valentine was that he was a priest or bishop who was arrested during the reign of Claudius II for marrying people, the sacrament of marriage. Claudius liked him until Valentine tried to convert the Emperor and in turn the priest was beheaded. Perhaps the true message have been diluted throughout the centuries? From sacrifice and martyrdom to chocolate and indulgence.”
Interesting, no? We went from a beheading to chocolates and roses. How romantic. Of course, there’s nothing more romantic than zombies, and our friends at Goodie Two Sleeves know that! They recently released a slew of zombified T-Shirts for the hopeless romantic. My favorite is definitely the Zombies Love Nerds design, I just wish there was a little splatter of blood.
Zombies Love Nerds is available now from Goodie Two Sleeves for $21.95.
And if you’re in the mood for a couple more tees to celebrate this heart attack of a holiday, check out this great curated list of Valentine’s Day themed tees from our friend, Macho Slut, over at Found Item Clothing.
