Etsy seller Finders&Keepers is in the business of taking normal, everyday items and recycling them for novel uses. Take for example that old Polo shirt sitting in your closet. They’ll take Polo’s just like that forgotten one in your closet and repurpose it into something useful – like a MacBook or iPad case.
I’m not too sure if I’d use these for my own MacBooks or iPads, but I can totally see a certain niche of people loving this item. This would make for the perfect gift for the techie that loves to frequent garage sales, swap meets, second-hand shops, and craigslist. And let’s not forget what a wonderful conversation piece these cases would make.
The Finders& Keepers Recycled MacBook and iPad cases are available now from Etsy and range in price from $55 to $75.
These Bamboo MacBook cases by SILVA aren’t cheap. They start at $179.99 and go up to $314.99 in price. They aren’t cheap because each bamboo case is custom made and that takes a lot of work. Precision detail is the name of the game here. And let’s admit it, they look damn sexy. You won’t be able to pack a lot of peripherals with this briefcase. But who cares. Your MacBook will be sitting comfy in a case that will likely be 100X sexier than whatever generic case your peers have. Imagine how boss you would look walking into a Starbucks with this.
Steve Jobs > Bill Gates. Steve Jobs is greater than Bill Gates. Steve Jobs. UNDRCRWN got it right with this shirt. I absolutely love it. I adore it. I admire it. It speaks the truth. And as a longtime Apple nut I can believe that. As a MacAddict that stood by Apple even when Steve wasn’t arount, I can believe that. As a MacHead that cheered when Steve Jobs returned as iCEO and proceeded to resuscitate a near bankrupt company, I can believe that.
Steve Jobs created and innovated. Steve Jobs conceptualized products that changed the world. Steve Jobs redefined multiple industries. Bill Gates simply made sloppy copies.
What happens when you combine a 20-year-old hipster version of Steve Jobs, with a Davie Bowie as Aladdin Sane and then throw in the retro Apple 6-colored logo into the mix? Well, you get the new Steve-In-Sane T-Shirt from the very mac-centric tee brand, Might Tees! Don’t let this epic Apple T-Shirt get away, it’s been out for less than a day and the inventory bars are already running low for a few sizes. Steve-In-Sane is available now from Might Tees for $31.99.
“The design is lovingly screen printed onto one of our resilient organic cotton shirts with our vibrant eco-friendly water based inks. The shirt color is a dark bluish grey, we call it coal grey”

It never ceases to amaze me how far a T-Shirt can go even once it has passed its prime. We all have one (or maybe a few) tees that we just can’t bare to throw out. How about repurposing them as a sleeve for your MacBook Pro? That’s exactly what Hello Rewind does with their new service. They can turn your favorite T-Shirt into clothing for your laptop!
The process is quite simple:
You purchase a laptop sleeve in your laptop size (13″, 15″ or 17″)
We mail you a pre-paid envelope to send in your chosen t-shirt
We sew a custom sleeve using your t-shirt
Within 4-8 weeks, your computer will have something new to wear
Sweet! How much does it cost, you ask? The Hello Rewind service is priced at $49 across the board. What’s even cooler is that Hello Rewind is very passionate about … sex trafficking. They are interested in working with women formerly sex trafficked in New York City so they can learn new skills and support themselves. Every sleeve purchased goes to help Hello Rewind achieve this goal.
As a T-Shirt blogger I’d love to give one of these sleeves a try!
Co-Tee TV is here and I’ve got on two Mac inspired T-Shirts in this episode. The first tee was intentional but the second tee was entirely coincidental! I am not even kidding. In this episode I wear I’m A Mac from Insanely Great Tees and review Macintosh from Print Liberation.
You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.
Macintosh by Print Liberation.Pros: You’ll buy this shirt because you’re a big Apple fan, simply love using your Mac or once had one of these original Macintosh’s. The shirt is printed on a Creme American Apparel T-Shirt and features halftones for depth and different shades of gray. Makes the perfect gift for any old school Mac fan or new school Apple fanboy! Cons: This is a no frills shirt so don’t expect fancy packaging or extra goodies but do expect a good quality screen print. Price: $18.00.
Sigh, this debate may never end. Nonetheless, you can score a $50 Split Reason gift certificate by coming up with the best and humorous logic explaining “why†their platform of choice stands above the other will win. Check out this blog post to see how you can win. Or, if you just want this shirt, you can by Witty Retort straight from SplitReason.com for $18.95.
As for me, the clear choice is the Macintosh platform. I’ve gotten into many heated discussions arguing for the Mac. I have stood by the Apple brand even during the dark years (mid 90′s anyone?). And I’ve converted a ton of friends to switch from PC’s to Mac’s. Simply put, I love the Mac platform and the Apple brand.Â
Why a Mac you ask? I’m going to bypass all of the minutiae and skip talking about processors, hardware, RAM, gaming capability (or lack of), buttons on the mouse, GUI, and ease of use. Instead, I’ll make just one simple point. Mac users just seriously love using their computers.
Again, I owe it to Twitter because without it I would not have ever found this tee! I love stumbling across great new brands awesome T-Shirts. Slide To Unlock from Milk & Eggs Co. is just straight up cool. Or, as I put it in a tweet I made about the shirt, “it’s OMFG good!”
This design will probably bring a smile to any iPhone user but will likely resonate most with relationship seeking iPhone owners! You can pick up this shirt from Milk & Eggs Co. for $20, and yes, it is printed on an American Apparel shirt for a cool and comfy feel.
The oh so creative Glenn Jones has come up with an ingenious idea for his popular T-Shirt designs – laptop skins! And why not, people love originality and by slapping one of these skins on your laptop you will indeed achieve an originality. Just be ready for the constant ooogling by others (because people get jealous fast when they see awesome stuff) and the tirade of “Where’d yo get that” inquiries. The Glennz skins are available now for 13″ to 17″ laptops and sell for $17.95.
I also noticed, and thought that I would point this out, that a few of the skins sport some of Glenn Jones’ older Threadless designs – like one of my faves “What Would MacGyver do?” Interesting, huh!
