MacGruber The Movie?!

OK, so if you’re a regular reader of this blog you might know that growing up I watched every episode of MacGyver because my mom was in love with the show. So, seeing the recurring MacGruber sketches on Saturday Night Live has always been fun for me, ever since Will Forte first played the character on SNL in 2006. But recently I found out that they are turning MacGruber, the SNL Macgyver parody character into a full feature length film! My gut tells me that this movie will be a big pile of hot poop but that won’t stop me from checking it out in the theaters. I admit, I have a soft spot for MacGruber.

In any case, check out this MacGruber tee from … gasp … Cafe Press. Hopefully once the movie comes out we’ll see better merchandise on the market, but until then, this is what we’ve got. Oh, and be sure to check out the trailer and let me know what you think!

DeLorean Time Machine Schematic

In 1985 Dr. Emmett Brown invented a time machine out of a stock DeLorean DMC-12. Since then, interest in the DeLorean has remained as people try to recreate Doc Brown’s game changing time traveling device. This T-Shirt from 80′s tees provides a glimpse into the inner workings of a Doc Brown tweaked DeLorean. Interested in making your own time machine out of a used DeLorean? This shirt is a great place to start. You can pick up the DeLorean Schematic tee from 80′s tees for an astoundingly cheap $20 (you’ll easily make up that money once you go back to 1998 and invest in a new and little known company known as Google).

And for you non-believers, here are a few more examples of this resurgence of interest in the DeLorean. The Los Angeles based streetwear brand, The Hundreds recently released these DeLorean tees to the small but loyal group of followers. In retrospect, The Hundreds popularity is astounding, might their unparalled popularity be due to them actually already owning a DeLorean time machine and having had gone back in time therefore gaining knowledge that their style of clothing would be in high demand in this day and age? We might never know.

Co-Tee TV Episode 44: Fight Club, Chuck Palahniuk and The Cult

In this episode of Co-Tee TV I review the Fight Club Anniversary tee from ChuckPalahniuk.net celebrating the 10 years since the release of the Fight Club movie by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. The T-Shirt was designed by blog favorite and popular T-Shirt designer, Kevin Tong.

Follow Co-Tee TV on Facebook for fun contests and exclusive content!

You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.

Coty’s Thoughts:

Fight Club Anniversary T-Shirt by Kevin Tong and available at ChuckPalahniuk.net. Pros: Great artwork designed by Kevin Tong. The shirt is available in two colorways, cornflower blue and creme.  Cons: The tee design is printed on a Next Level blank, which is a little more fitting and thin compared to an American Apparel tee. And just so you know, I like thin tees (and have a high level  of disdain for thick and heavy ones). Price: $20.

IMDTees: A Database For Movie Related Shirts

IMDTees is touting itself as the IMDB equivalent for T-Shirts. Haven’t heard of IMDB? Well, it’s an online movie database. Looking for a T-Shirt featuring your favorite movie then you might want to try IMDTees. I did have a chance to check out the site and I have to say that they do have a bunch of movie related tees but they are currently limited to just affiliate based websites like Busted Tees, NerdyShirts and DeezTeez. If they are to become a true database for movie related T-Shirts I’d like to see them add more indie tee brands that aren’t necessarily affiliate based. Ones that come to my mind that aren’t found in IMDTees include Glennz Tees and Found Item Clothing.

So, if you’re in need for a quick movie related T-Shirt checkout IMDTees but for a wider selection try Google. Hopefully we’ll see selection and the database grow with time.
