Coty’s Thoughts:
Fistachio by Maiden Voyage Clothing Co.Pros: Lovely presentation, the T-Shirt was packaged in such a wonderful way that I had a great experience going through each layer of the boxing before I got to the actual shirt. Shirt comes packed in a little sack much like one you would find on any ship in the 1700’s, except it’s a bit miniature (so cool). The shirt was tagless and featured a screen printed neck label. A custom hangtag is included as well. The print is extremely large and super soft, as is the shirt itself (soft that is). Love the fact that they have a theme and stick with that theme from the website to the packaging to the shirt design. All around awesome in my opinion. Cons: The shirt is very slim fitting so if you like your shirts a bit on the loose side I’d suggest ordering a size up. Price: $28
I Be Au Sm by Lawrence Villanueva and available at Threadless.Pros: If you are a geek you will enjoy this shirt – I guarantee it. Cons: Complaints? I don’t have any. I absolutely adore this shirt, I guess that make me a geek. Price: $15.
Our good friends over at Fuzzy Ink has just released their first shirt of the new year and guess it what, it features a mustache! Of course, you probably would have guessed that since all of their tees feature the lovely patch of hair found above the lip of so many men (and some women). The new shirt is called I Am The Walrus, which begs the question, was this shirt inspired by the Beatles song of the same name?
I Am The Walrus features a large print of what looks like a very confident and hipster-ish Walrus. I love it! It sort of reminds me of the Otter-tude tee from Rethink Clothing that I dig so much. I know you want one of this Walrus shirt to add to your Fuzzy Ink collection so pick one up now for $20.95 and be sure to use the coupon code “Hawaii” for 10% off your entire order!
And for those of you unfamiliar with the BEatles reference above watch this video below.
Moustaches, mustaches, mostaccio, mustaccio, moustakion … no matter how you spell it, moustaches were all the rage in 2009. You notice a lot of trends as a blogger and I’ve noticed that a lot of people love to not only grow moustaches but they like to have them adorn the products that they wear and use on a daily basis. Rangga over at Cottonable.com came up with a great idea to do a moustache T-Shirt list. However, I thought I’d go a step further and include a variety of moustache gift giving ideas for those of you looking to purchase not just T-Shirts. Having said that, you’ll find moustache shirts, mugs, bandanas, necklaces, pillows and a slew of other moustache products! Enjoy this list and be sure to thank Rangga for coming up with this hairy idea!
Note: You’ll notice a bunch of different “moustache” spelling throughout the post. This was done on purpose as I used whatever spelling found was in the product name.
Now that is a whole lot of hair! That of course is in reference to the newest tee from Chop Shop called Dapper Men (141 Dudes). I presume that these are 141 “famous” dudes because I think I just spotted Bob Marley and Kevin Smith. The first person to name all 141 men wins a brick of cheese from me. Okay, not really but if you can name em’ all comment below and I will give you a long distance applause (I’ll even stand up and clap).
Dapper Men (141 Dudes) is printed on an American Apparel blank and is available now from Chop Shop for $20 and be sure to use the coupon code “cotygun” for 15% off your entire purchase!
Fur Face Boy is getting ready to release some new T-Shirts and that means you can score some some sweet deals on their Series 1 tees. The tees are normally priced at $32 but they have been marked down to $19.99 but you can save even more by using the code “1STFFB” at checkout – you’ll save an extra 15% off your entire order. Sweet deals especially if you like T-Shirts that have a lot of hair!
One of my favorite indie brands, Fuzzy Ink, has released two new tees to add to their unique line of mustache inspired T-Shirts. The first shirt, appropriately titled Handlebar Hold Up, features an incredibly enormous … you guessed it … mustache! This might be the most prominently placed mustache ever seen on a Fuzzy Ink tee.
Sleight of Hare is admittedly a hilarious design, one where the hare steals the show from the magician (and takes his mustache with hime!). I wish I had a rabbit that could do tricks like that. I used to have rabbits, believe it or not. And they both lived very long lives – a little over 10 years. Do rabbits normally live that long?
You can pick up both shirts from Fuzzy Ink for $18.95 and they are both available in mens and womens sizes. Use the coupon code “Hawaii” for 10% off your entire Fuzzy Ink order!
I’m not sure how long Fuzzy Ink has had this tee available for pre-sale, but I have to admit that it’s a brilliant one! As always, the Fuzzy Ink team sticks with the mustache theme, I don’t think that will be changing anytime soon. The new tee, Identity Crises, was designed by Josh Stomberg, who is also known in creative circles as Sitting Duck. The tee can be purchased now at the pre-sale price of $15.99 ($2 cheaper than regular prices) and are expected to ship out by February 9. Also remember that Fuzzy Ink is a part of the Attack of the Coupons promotion here and as such YOU can get an additional 10% off with the coupon code “Hawaii”. And if you’re wondering, yes, I do live in Hawaii!
