It’s been a while since I’ve featured an Abraham Lincoln T-Shirt. What’s the hell is wrong with me. It’s okay, this is fixed with THIS T-shirt designed by Tim Shumate and available now from Threadless. Say hello to thug Abraham Lincoln, complete with tattoos, ear stretchers, and wife beater. Mary Todd Lincoln would be so proud.
By the way, you all should be ready for the barrage of Abe Lincoln tees over the next few months. Why? New movie coming soon, it’s called Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. If you haven’t read it yet then you’re missing out.
Muve is an alliance of two artists, Mike an illustrator from Washington DC and Ryan a photographer rooted from NYC. While studying at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles they decided to start a clothing company. Over the years their ideas and designs evolved and Muve was created.
This east coast brand definitely has a unique style. The designs really are a reflection of their home cities. Guerilla has a streetart vibe, reminiscent of New York City, while DC Metro pays homage to the Capital Beltway, connecting DC, Maryland and Virginia. I love the prominent use of lines in the designs and the randomness Guerilla.
“Our company is dedicated to voicing creative freedom with respect to the sub-cultures of past, present and future. Muve signifies a pivotal motion of change in the direction world culture has gone and takes a step to document where we are going through the collaboration of imagery, wordplay and humor.”
In an alternate universe, Abraham Lincoln would not have been assassinated by John Wilkes Booth while watching Our American Cousin on April 14, 1865 at Ford’s Theater. Then again, if we lived in an alternate universe then maybe Abraham Lincoln could have shot back at Booth with laserbeams coming out of his eye balls while a bear-ish Teddy Roosevelt stomped repeatedly on Booth, making sure that his fur got into the deep crevices of his body.
Kosher Ham has been on a roll the last few weeks releasing oodles of news tees, all kosher of course (we wouldn’t want them any other way). Check out four of my favorites from the recent releases. All shirts, except for Am I Missing A Tooth ($15.99) is $19.99 they’re all printed on American Apparel blanks. And remember, Kosher Ham always has the buy 3 get a 4th tee promotion – so pick up any 3 Kosher Ham tees and receive a free Kosher Ham logo tee!Â
Am I Missing A Tooth is my favorite from the bunch! It’s from the newest comedic classic, The Hangover. If you haven’t seen that flick, do yourself a favor and check it out! You’ll laugh. You’ll laugh hard. And then you’ll hurt from all the laughter.Â
Vince Shlomi has got nothing on Billy Mays. Billy Mays is a TV infomercial GOD. Pick up this shirt from Kosher Ham and profess your love for all things Billy Mays.Â
Oh you know you used to watch Saved By The Bell. Don’t try to hide it! I admit I used to watch Saved By The Bell religiously! I was a preteen, afterall, at the peak of the shows popularity. And I think I’m a better man for it! Zack Morris for president.Â
Let’s just say that Michelle Obama didn’t really have any big shoes to fill. Our first lady has style, class and spunk. Be envious!Â
And I just had to include this clip of “Zack Morris” on the Jimmy Fallon Show. It’s really him. I’m waiting anxiously for the Saved By The Bell reunion on Fallon! Does Mark-Paul Gosselaar not age?
Might this be the passing of the daily tee torch? For the first time ever, TeeFury sold more tees in a single day than its counterpart, Shirt.Woot. The two sub $10 24 hour only tee sites battled it out yesterday (like they do everyday) and TeeFury landed the knockout punch with a zombified presidential design.Â
Shirt.Woot’s ChlorofloroHypnoHype sold 1216 tees while TeeFury’s much hyped Zombama Brains by Pop-Monkey sold 1327 in 24 hours. The controversial design sparked praise, criticism and debate all day long and because of this they sold a ton of tees! Here are a few comments people made about Zombama Brains:
AWESOME!!!! Great work Pop-Monkey!!!! I HOPE it causes people to think a little more!!! Doesn’t seem like many people are these days. I’m going to max out my credit card on this one and HOPE for a bail-out!!!!! My Favorite Teefury yet!!! HOPE it doesn’t make anyone FURYous!!!! HOPE this is the best seller ever!!!! Zombama Brains Rules!!! -Ando138
Honestly I agree with lilstephy, it’s appropriately hilarious for Bush but considering Obama made me respect democracy again it just doesn’t make the joke. And why would anyone interpret this as racist? Also what missteps? Obama was given a sh*t filled mess that the reckless spending and mindless complete disregard for human life that is George Bush Administration and you call in his first two months in office, missteps? So, yea, if this was Bush it’d put more food on your family. -Arrow
I’m not easily offended, but as someone who voted for Obama, I find this shirt disappointing, somewhat offensive, and just all-out in bad taste. IMO, only NObama-ians would buy this shirt. I am proud of our President and would rather show my support for him than advocate any disapproval as this shirt portrays. -KittyKatty
I just wanted to say that I’m an Obama supporter/Shepard Fairey fan/horror fan and I just fell absolutely in love with the shirt! I get why you made this shirt and that’s the reason why I had to buy it. Congrats on making a fun shirt that is well done artistically! -Amazonagent
