Weekly Recap and Linkology | June 4, 2010

Around This Blog:

Two new episodes Co-Tee TV went live this week! If you missed them then be sure to check them out below. And of course, be sure to check out the guys that we featured, including Bunker Designs and Zombie Liquorice.

By the way: Go Win A T-Shirt from Zombie Liquorice!

I also did a short video talking about the new baby line of onesies and tees from out friends at Kosher Ham! Use the code “COTYFANS” at checkout to score an extra 10% off your entire order!

Now this was an absolute blast of a list to do. It’s a list of 76 Threadless T-Shirts from sketch to print. The post was based on a post that Phil Jones started on the Threadless Blogs. He asked artists to post sketches. I thought it would be cool to give a before and after perspective and thus this post was born!

T-Shirt Blogging Friends:

The big news this week  comes from our friend and fellow T-Shirt blogger, Andy Bowness of Hide Your Arms. Andy started a new website dedicated to listing the top T-Shirt blogs on the planet. I’m currently ranked #4 so please help me out by giving a vote of 5 stars! Virtual hugs, kisses and high fives will be dispersed appropriately!

Andy from Rethink Clothing is starting a revolution! Watch the video to see how you can be a part of it and be sure to check out Rethink Revolution. Fun prizes are involved!

Kudos to In My Short Sleeve for spotting this amazing tee from Chalk Brighton. The shirt is called MOOG and features hundreds of tracks featuring a Moog synthesiser. Via In My Short Sleeve.

Other Coty Links:

It was a bit quiet this week at SwipeTap and Call Me Thirsty, but there were a few notable posts over at TumblrTrends. Like this Jesus Christ Venn Diagram. Via TumblrTrends.

And Ryu starring in Super Mario Bros. Via TumblrTrends.

Threadless News:

I really, really, really liked Apathy, Our Country’s Leading Cause of Whatever by Josh Miller.

And did you know that Threadless is now collaborating with Society6? Well they are and they’ve got some really rad stuff.

Exalted By Mark.

Exalted By Mark has some excellent tees for sale at his online shop. At the best part? They are all on sale right now for just 10 bucks. And even better, “All $10.00 of your Purchase will go to Make Beats Not Beat Downs in efforts to put a stop to Bullying Through Music.! We must do something people! Rise Up! Free Stuff w/Every Order, could even be a shirt???” Now I have to ask – how are you making money, Mark! Anyhow, great deal for you guys and it’s for a good cause. This is definitely something worth checking out!

Co-Tee TV Episode 12: Woot Worms, {miles to go} and Buddha

In this episode I wear The Early Worm Gets The Bird by Jim Gray and available at Shirt.Woot and review Buddha designed by Faith By Design for {miles to go} Clothing, a brand independently operated by Greg Kerr and popular amongst those in the indie apparel and merchandise scene. I also talk about my TypeTees Slogan-A-Day Experiment. As always, enjoy with tea and a comfy tee!

You can also watch this episode on Vimeo, Viddler, YouTube, blip.tv and download and sync all episodes to your iPod or iPhone by subscribing for free to Co-Tee TV in the iTunes Store.

Coty’s Thoughts:

Buddha by Faith By Design and available at {miles to go} Clothing. Good: Shirt comes sealed in plastic to protect it from the elements, custom hang tag, custom embroidered neck tag, super soft ink, huge print, printed on American Apparel, shirts come with {miles to go} stickers. Bad: Hurm, I really can’t think of anything bad about this tee. Price: $21.99 but you can save 20% if you use the coupon code “friends” at checkout.

Buddha by {miles to go}

The Early Worm Gets The Bird by Jim Gray and available at Shirt.Woot. This is one of those tees that people love to look at for a few seconds until the light bulb goes off and they figure out whats going on! Price: $10.00 originally but no longer available for sale.
