Superman Caped Knee High Socks

These Superman Caped Knee High Socks from 80sTees is so bad that they’re awesome. Seriously, if you’ve got the audacity to use these socks (of course, with shorts not long pants) then you’ve earned a pair of thumbs of up from me. There really isn’t much more to be said about these.

The Superman Caped Knee High Socks is available now from 80sTees for $10.00.

And if you’re amongst the die-hard group of people that will dig these socks then you probably will love Justice League: Doom, the latest DC Animated movie. Justice League: Doom is available now from Amazon for $18.99.

QR Code + Rorschach = QRorschach

This is a fabolous T-Shirt from our friends at 604Republic. They’ve taken my favorite character from my favorite graphic novel and transformed him into part superhero / part QR code. Neat! And I even love the product description: “QRorschach’s Journal: October 12th, 1985. Tonight, my face turned into a QR code. I dare you to scan it.” Geeks all around the world should love this T-Shirt.

QRorschach is available now from 604Republic for $19.95.

Comic-Con 2011 Costume Spotting (Day 4)

Comic-Con 2011 is being held from July 21-24 this year and like last year, I’ll be costume spotting some of the best and most wacky costumes to be seen! I always get a kick at seeing what people decide to dress up as to Comic-Con. My favorite from Day 4 has got to be the candid photo of Captain America giving a a female friend a ride!

*All photos belong to their respective owners. I’ve provided links back to the original photos and links back to the photographers official website when possible.

If you stumbled on this blog via Twitter, Facebook or elsewhere then welcome! Please feel free to peruse the site and if you like what you see then I’d recommend adding Co-Tee TV as a friend on Facebook so that you can stay up-to-date on future posts!

2. Jason, photo by Jeff Vaillancourt. I’d hate to be on the opposite end of that blade.

4. Wolverine, photo by Ronald Woan. Visit Woan’s World. Why hello, Logan.

Hipsters United: Mighty Fine Has Got You Covered

What if the uncanny X-Men were actually a bunch of uncanny hipsters?! Well, they’d probably consist of unruly hair, overgrown mustaches, really thick glasses and form fitting second hand clothing. Or, they’d look a lot like the Mighty Fine superhero hipsters featured below.

Here at Mighty Fine, we like to keep an eye on the latest trends in internet humor. (Or the OMG LULZ, if you will.) Having a healthy appreciation for comic book geekery, as many of you do, we found the recent rounds of “superhero hipster” memes to be pretty darn hilarious. Still, it got us to thinking… what if saving the world was actually the job of hipsters who also had a full slate of shopping for skinny jeans and arguing about the relative worth of Wilco’s last album?

I love the text featured below the Uncanny Hipsters tee, so fitting.

Use the Mighty Fine MyTee Shirt Creator to customize your hipster shirt today! I tried it out and the custom tees are priced at $25.

365 Days of T-Shirts: Day 10 – Purple T-Shirt

If I was a superhero, this would probably be my superhero seal! But what would my super powers be? Rapidly putting on and removing tees isn’t that useful? It would be great if T-Shirts, for me, worked as an invisibility cloak. Put on a T-Shirt and I go invisible. That would be pretty damn cool. So many things that I could do with THAT T-Shirt.

In any case, I again continue my “on vacation” series of Project365 posts. Today I give you the second iPhone Wallpaper of the year. It’s simple and features my favorite color (for T-Shirts) over the last few months – purple!

By the way, tomorrow I’ll be back home in Honolulu and that means we can go back to doing more crafty things! I’m excited!

The T-Shirt 365 project is free of charge, meaning, you can use the materials provided here as many times as you would like. However, I do ask that you DO NOT repost the actual project files on other websites. It would be better if you simply linked back to the particular blog post on my website! It’s good karma for you and it’ll make me super happy to see the linkback!

The goal of the project is to have enough material so that I can make a book encompassing the entire project. If all goes as planned, we’ll have something amazing available in 2012!

Super Heroic Minimalism

Super Heroic Minimalism is an awesome new Threadless T-Shirt by designer Jonah Block that features two of my favorite Marvel characters in minimalistic form. Both Spider-Man and Iron Man are represented in the design, but surprisingly missing from the print is the caped crusader aka the Dark Knight aka Batman. It looks like Threadless legal decided to tweak the design to exclude my favorite cowled superhero.

Take a look below to see the design that is currently available for sale as well as the original submitted design. And further down you’ll see Ant-Man modification that Block made as replacements for the original Batman design.

What do you think? Did Threadless yank Batman from Super Heroic Minimalism for legal reasons or because they felt it should have been an all Marvel ensemble?

In any case, if you like this one then I think you should grab it ASAP because Threadless legal could pull the design all together at anytime!

Super Heroic Minimalism is available now from Threadless for $18. Super power not included.

Spun Dry

Spun Dry is another goofy design from one of my favorite T-Shirt designers, Glenn Jones. But, besides the actual T-Shirt, what do you think of those custom Spidey whitey tighties! What geek wouldn’t want to have Spider-Man’s logo covering his crotch. OK, maybe that would be just a small proportion of geeks – but still.

If you either 1. love Spider-Man, or 2. secretly want a pair of Spidey branded whitey tighties, then head on over to Glennz Tees to pick up Spun Dry for $19.95.

I Am Iron Man

No I’m not, but you can sort of be Iron Man. How? I never thought you’d ask! Easy. And the best part is that it does not involve metal or welding tools! Sound good so far? More importantly, you don’t have to have the disposable income of a billionaire to become Iron Man. Sold yet? Thought so. By now you want the newest shirt from NerdyShirts. The Iron Man inspired tee is the perfect wardrobe compliment for when you go and see Iron Man 2 a second, third, and for you uber comic geek types, a fifth time.

The Iron Man 2 T-Shirt is available now from NerdyShirts for the presale price of $14.95. See, I told you that you didn’t need to be a billionaire to be (at least sort of) Iron Man.
