Write A Haiku and Win The LOST Themed Constant T-Shirt from TeeFury

This contest will only last for the next 5 hours and will officially end at 5pm Hawaii time (11pm EST and 8pm PST). All you need to do is

1. Write a LOST themed haiku about anything LOST related. Not sure what a haiku is? It’s three line Japanese poetry and has a syllable count of 5, 7, 5. For instance:

Smoke Monster Is black.
Not a fan of mean monster.
Someone kill fake Locke.

2. Mention your T-Shirt size and whether you want a male or female fitted T-Shirt!

Winner(s) will receive today’s Teefury tee (Constant) which just so happens to be a LOST themed T-Shirt! I say Winner(s) because I’m not sure how many I’ll be giving away (1 will be given away for sure). It’ll depend on how many awesome entries we get! Also, don’t forget to mention your t-shirt size in your comment!

Leave your Haikus in the comments section of this post for your chance to WIN CONSTANT from TeeFury!

Buns of Steel

Oh … My … Goodness! The current TeeFury shirt of the day has got me all giddy inside! Some of you might know that I am a BIG fan of the Man of Steel so this funny tee featuring the butt from of that super dude from Krypton has got me all excited. This will probably be my second TeeFury purchase, with the first being that Holy Indie Stickup, which featured my second favorite DC character, Batman.

So what does this all mean? It means that TeeFury should print more shirts parodying superheroes – that’s what this all means!

What Do You Got, B****?

When I first saw this tee at TeeFury I knew exactly who I was looking at! For those of you squinting your eyes and shaking your head in bewilderment, let me inform you of who this wonderful celebrity is. It’s Joaquin Phoenix’s alter ego, crazy (or uber cool) Joaquin Phoenix!

Tee Fury

I love this design by Athadi, who was inspired Phoenix’s recent performance in Miami so much so that he created this lovely vector based graphic.

And if you’re interested in what the actor turned rapper’s music is like then check out this video of Phoenix live at the previously mentioned Miami concert.

Zombama Brains: A First For TeeFury

Might this be the passing of the daily tee torch? For the first time ever, TeeFury sold more tees in a single day than its counterpart, Shirt.Woot. The two sub $10 24 hour only tee sites battled it out yesterday (like they do everyday) and TeeFury landed the knockout punch with a zombified presidential design.

Shirt.Woot’s ChlorofloroHypnoHype sold 1216 tees while TeeFury’s much hyped Zombama Brains by Pop-Monkey sold 1327 in 24 hours. The controversial design sparked praise, criticism and debate all day long and because of this they sold a ton of tees! Here are a few comments people made about Zombama Brains:

AWESOME!!!! Great work Pop-Monkey!!!! I HOPE it causes people to think a little more!!! Doesn’t seem like many people are these days. I’m going to max out my credit card on this one and HOPE for a bail-out!!!!! My Favorite Teefury yet!!! HOPE it doesn’t make anyone FURYous!!!! HOPE this is the best seller ever!!!! Zombama Brains Rules!!! -Ando138

Honestly I agree with lilstephy, it’s appropriately hilarious for Bush but considering Obama made me respect democracy again it just doesn’t make the joke. And why would anyone interpret this as racist? Also what missteps? Obama was given a sh*t filled mess that the reckless spending and mindless complete disregard for human life that is George Bush Administration and you call in his first two months in office, missteps? So, yea, if this was Bush it’d put more food on your family. -Arrow

I’m not easily offended, but as someone who voted for Obama, I find this shirt disappointing, somewhat offensive, and just all-out in bad taste. IMO, only NObama-ians would buy this shirt. I am proud of our President and would rather show my support for him than advocate any disapproval as this shirt portrays. -KittyKatty

I just wanted to say that I’m an Obama supporter/Shepard Fairey fan/horror fan and I just fell absolutely in love with the shirt! I get why you made this shirt and that’s the reason why I had to buy it. Congrats on making a fun shirt that is well done artistically! -Amazonagent

Holy Indie Stickup!

What?! Talk about comic book geekery awesomeness! This great piece of Batman fan art is available now in T-Shirt form at TeeFury for just 9 bucks. MJ from compete-tee-tion curated this piece by Evanimal and I’m thankful he did because I made it my first TeeFury purchase! Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re saying – I’m the T-Shirt guy and this is my first TeeFury purchase! Well, in my defense, it was only recently that TeeFury offered shipping to to Hawaii – and I’m happy they did!

Holy Indie Stickup!

Holie Indie Stickup!

“Admit it, when you watched the Batman tv show you were totally rooting for the villains. While Adam West was kind of a one-dimensional cornball who seems to survive from one episode to the next purely by chance, evil-doers like The Black Widow, The Joker, and Catwoman knuckled down and made elaborate plans for changing their own lives for the better. If nothing else, you have to respect their work ethic- these guys never stopped, even after it should have been clear that the deck was stacked against them in Gotham City. Maybe the best part of this shirt is that looking at it, bad as things seem, I just know the tables were turned five minutes into the next episode and Batman survived to see another day.” -MJ

$5 T-Shirt Sale at TeeFury

This is a first over at TeeFury – it’s a $5 T-Shirt sale! Couple of things to note, it’s a grab bag, so you don’t get to choose what you’ll be receiving. You simply choose the size and they’ll ship over a tee. It’s a grab bag! Wanna see the designs available then check below the video. Shipping is $2 in the continental United States (this is one of the few times it sucks to live in Hawaii) and $5 international (plus Hawaii and Alaska). Will you be picking one or maybe a few?

TeeFury and Stabb Collaborate for Charity

It’s a great thing whenever people in the tee community help each other out. The people at tee-a-day site TeeFury have teamed up with Stabb Clothing to help raise money for charity.

In a recent post on the Stabb blog, Stabb founder Ryan Grandmaison, mentioned the recent cancer diagnosis of a good friend and bandmade (Something for Nothing) of his. He has also been posting regular updates about his friend so be sure to check those out on the Stabb blogs.

TeeFury recently reached out to Grandmaison and offered to collaborate with the up-an-coming tee brand to create a tee with the help of the indie tee community. Grandmaison (aka as RustyEight) posted about the collaboration on the Emptees forum:

As most of you know by now, my buddy and guitarist Ben has been fighting Burkitt’s Lymphoma for the past few months and thanks to you guys we’ve raised a bunch of money and some clothes.

Wotto approched me the other day with an idea on how to raise some more, via TeeFury . TeeFury Collab! Alphabet Edition!

What’s the idea? Every designer signs up to design 1 letter (capital). If we have enough people(52) we’ll do both capital and lower case. Keep it at 3 Colors.

The shirt will then go up on TeeFury for sale sometime in in January or February. If you would like to sign up for this huge collab, post the letter you would like. First come first serve. Remember, proceeds will be going to Ben, you will not get paid for it. DEADLINE IS JANUARY 31ST

If you’re interested, then be sure to check out the forum post. You can sign up for a letter there (there are a couple of letters left as of this posting). Good luck to TeeFury and Stabb with this!

Jimiyo’s Hope Phoenix

If you’re a Jimiyo fan then you might consider picking up his latest design, to be released later today at Tee Fury. As with all Tee Fury tees, you’ll only be able to purchase Hope Phoenix for 24 hours and then it’ll be gone (who knows if Jimiyo will have it reprinted). And, if that’s not enough to get you to pick this tee up then you should not that proceeds will go to charity:

“Proceeds from the sale of this design will go to East Nashville Cooperative Ministry. It is within the community in which I live. Although I find myself to be so calculating that I can rationalize out most charitable donations as being indiscriminate and ineffective, I have actually visited the small building in which ENCM resides and feel that even a small donation would help.

So if you like the design, please consider purchasing the shirt, OR alternatively you can help ENCM by donating to them through their website.” -Jimiyo

100th Tee Fury Tee and First Collaboration

Tee Fury has been around for just over 3 months and has just posted their 100th Tee. Tee Fury posts a different tee everyday for sale for a limited time of 24 hours. The great things about this new tee is that it’s not only the 100th Tee Fury tee to be released, but, it’s the first collaboration tee they’ve done.

The art on the tee is the work of the many designers that frequent the Tee Fury forums. The idea was first suggested by Craig Watkins aka Wotto who suggested that people should submit their take on the Tee Fury bird logo for use on a collaboration tee. The final design is pretty great and the tee design itself is titled Furyous Omnibus. Grab yours now at TeeFury for a measly 9 bucks!
