Dreamnlive Apparel: I Rarely Sleep, But I Always Dream

When I first saw the “I Rarely Sleep, But I Always Dream” from Dreamnlive Apparel, I thought about another indie T-Shirt creator, Carlos from Oven Fresh Dreams. It might be 10pm or later Hawaii time, but I often see Carlos talking about hustling for his brand – developing, creating, and imagining new ideas. And mind you, if it’s 10pm Hawaii time, then it’s 4am in New York. That’s love.

That same love for dreaming is what Dreamnlive Apparel is all about. “Dreamnlive (pronounced: Dream-and-live) is an inspirational and innovative brand that was established as an outlet for the ideas, expressions, thoughts, and actions of its creators, with the hopes of positively influencing popular culture.”

When I first took a look at the Dreamnlive collection, I had this feeling that they were a chill and easy going brand that didn’t take themselves too seriously. I like that. If you’re a dreamer who likes big letters and bold colors then Dreamnlive Apparel is something that you should check out. All T-Shirts are priced at $24.99 and are available now at the Dreamnlive Apparel online shop.

Priorities

While most guys lust for the newest, shiniest and fastest toy … their significant other is often stuck worrying about the “important” stuff. Adulthood means setting your priorities straight and that means that sometimes you need to pass on that shiny new toy. But my goodness … shiny new toys are always soooooo awesome. They always have this magical, unicorn-like glow that just pulls you in and cripples you. I call it the “Apple Effect” and I fall for it every time. I see it, I lust for it and I want it. I don’t always get it, but that won’t stop me from wishing!

Priorities is available now from Glennz Tees for $19.95.

Nocturnal Naptime

It’s been a while since I’ve featured a T-Shirt from our friends over at Omunky. Part of the reason why this is the case is because Omunky took a little break from printing new T-Shirts. However, the eco-friendly brand is back and stronger than ever. The new tee is called Nocturnal Naptime and I think it’s their best T-Shirt to date. It’s simple and yet it’s hilarious. I just love how the tinge of yellow pops from the black T-Shirt.

Considering that most owls are nocturnal and hunt during the night, one must wonder why the owl in this particular shirt is dozing off. There can only be one explanation. The owls featured must be either burrowing owls (Speotyto cunicularia) or short-eared owls (Asio flammeus). These types of owls are active during the day and therefore can afford to be lazy at night. There is an explanation for everything!

Nocturnal Naptime is available now from Omunky for $22 but you can score 15% off your entire order by using the coupon code COTY at checkout!

Weekly Recap and Linkology | April 30, 2010

This site has been up for nearly 2 years now and it surprises me that I haven’t thought about doing a weekly recap post before. Luckily, this old dog can learn new tricks. So welcome to the first of hopefully many Weekly Recaps, a place where I will be able to funnel the many links and interesting stories that don’t make it on to the main blog and also remind you of my faves that did make it. I’ll also post some of the more interesting links from some of my favorite tee blogs and also from some of my other sites, including Call Me Thirsty, FAILShirt, Tumblr Trends and my newest site, SwipeTap. So let’s get to it.

Self Portrait + Tree Buddies

Hot off the Milk & Eggs production line are two new tees, Tree Buddies and Self Portrait. Both are two excellent additions to the Milk & Eggs Co. line and retain the simple and fun  look and feel that I appreciate so much. My favorite from the two is Self Portrait because I often find myself in the peculiar position featured on the shirt. And I am not sure if it was intentional or not but I love how the camera looks as if it’s smiling. Do you see it? It’s winking at you.

Both Self Portrait and Tree Buddies are available now from Milk & Eggs Co. for $18 but be sure to use the coupon code “COTY” at checkout and save 10% off of your entire order! The T-Shirts are printed on American Apparel blanks and feature an embroidered tag on the left sleeve.

Tree Buddies

Green Tree by Jeremy Prasatik

Green is in and for good reason – it’s just plain good karma to be nice to the planet we live on. And this tee, by Dallas based artist Jeremy Prasatik aka jp33, will show the world that you are indeed an eco friendly fellow. This shirt is an interesting one to me because design wise, it looks like it belongs on the tag of the tee instead of the main design. The tee is available from jp33 for $25 and of course it is printed on 100% organic cotton.
