Dark Raven: A Threadless Star Wars Parody

First of all, aren’t the Threadless releases this week just awesome?! When doing this post, It was a toss between Dark Raven and the Cookie Monster parody tee. I decided to go with Dark Raven because, heck, we can never have too many badass Star Wars parody tees. Right? Anyway, you better grab this one soon if you dig it because you never know if and when the intellectual property guys from LucasFilms will come a knocking. Remember Dark Side of the Garden by Glenn Jones? It was one of the most popular Threadless tees and it got yanked.

Dark Raven is available now from Threadless for $18. Dust off your lightsaber and go pick this one up now!

Speaking of lightsabers, did you know that 3 of the 10 most expensive Star Wars memorabilia items sold have been lightsabers? In 2001, Qui-Gon Jinn Lightsaber From Episode I: The Phantom Menace (top) sold for $54,000 (10th most expensive item). The Darth Vader Hero Lightsaber From The Empire Strikes Back (middle) sold for $100,000 in 2005 (5th most expensive item). And the 2nd most expensive Star Wars item sold was the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber From Star Wars: A New Hope (bottom), which went for a cool $170,000.

Reece Ward X Star Wars

Reece Ward, who I’ve featured on the blog quite a few times before (Tetris Skyline, Love Is Blind, Invisible), has landed quite a sweet gig. He was contacted earlier this year by Lucas Films and commissioned to do some official limited edition Star Wars T-Shirt.

“…Just before Christmas I was contacted by Lucasfilm Ltd. They contacted me, and said they where fans of my work, and would I like to design a couple of tees. And of course, without a moments hesitation, I said yes! I think I would have said Yes! If they had asked me to sell my soul!”

I might have sold my soul as well if given the opportunity!

According to Ward, his designs will be slowly released through the rest of the year and possibly beyond. To start, they’ve just made available Bow TIE Tuxedo and the Han Solo inspired Pyew Pyew designs. Both T-Shirts are available now for purchase for $21.99.

Congratulations Reece! I can’t wait to see the rest of your designs as they roll out!

Good You Will Be

It’s been a while since we last saw a Stars Wars parody tee from T-Shirt favorite, Glenn Jones. Well you no longer need to hold your breath because Glenn delivers yet again with his newest tee, Be Good. Who’s that holding the lightsaber, you ask? Well it’s our favorite extra terrestrial from the 80′s, E.T. Yoda, you better watch out.

Be Good is printed on a brown American Apparel tee and is available now at Glennz Tee for $19.95.

Good v Evil by Glennz Tees

Glenn Jones consistently pumps out awesome tee and this one is no different. This one is called Good v. Evil and is an obvious homage to Star Wars. It’s printed on an asphalt American Apparel tee and is available now for $19.95.

“The annual Good v Evil game is watched throughout the universe. Who will prevail when opposites collide? There’s personal battles all over the park and it’s hard to separate them as the force is strong! This design attracted a huge amount of votes in a short time so it was time to print!” – Glenn Jones

Farewell To Arms by Cloxboy

This is an interesting Star Wars inspired tee by Cloxboy titled Farewell To Arms. It’s obviously poking fun at the uncanny number of limbs lost throughout the 6 Star Wars films. Now here’s a stat for you, in the Star Wars films, 9 hands get chopped off. Let’s see, Anakin loses both hands, and so does Count Dooku. And Darth Vader, Grievous, The Wampa of Hoth, Mace Windu and Luke Skywalker each lost a hand while Ponda Baba had his hand cut off by Obi-Wan.

Farewell To Arms is printed on a silver American Apparel tee and is available now for purchase for 17 buckaroos. Go pick one up now to wear at your next Star Wars movie night.
